[It must be that time of the month, because there's another newbie on the network. This one, a 20-something woman with riotously curly blonde hair, is sprawled on her back on the beach, holding the Omni up above her face. It's not a great angle, but whatever.]
Hey, if one of these places sells calamari, s'that cannibalism? Cause I love that shit. Also I got so much sand in my ass crack right now I'm gonna be shittin' pearls for weeks.
[She could just...leave the beach. Does she know they're allowed to leave the beach?
She...likely doesn't know they can leave the beach.
Saxsice ends her foray into social media by dropping the Omni on her face and cussing as the feed ends. OW FUCK--!!

[ It's an admission as much as anything, made apologetically. ]
I certainly haven't managed to stop worrying, though I also haven't found a solution. It... seems prudent to try and make the best of what hand we've been dealt, and if that means making a home here while keeping an eye out for a way to get back, then that is what I shall do.

If that's the case, may I suggest doing something extremely physical where screaming is encouraged? That is... usually when I pull out my sword. You're supposed to yell and hit things when you're fighting. Then, once you've worn yourself out, you can think clearly.

[That...explains almost nothing.]

Yes, I... imagine that there is a great deal more growling. Involved. You may wish to be wary should you choose to do that; there's a strong tradition of hunting monsters here, given that they hassle the city and its residents.

[ Give him just a moment to... try and put any of that together. Staggery, like drunk? Person mish-mash, like... multiple people?
Or maybe... ]
Do these things wear bow-ties, by any chance?
[ This is the closest he can picture. ]

A long.
Long time.
Flynn's brain sort of visibly restarts, and he shakes his head like a wet dog, recentering himself. ]
Well! Regardless, I'd advise caution if you are going to transform. I would also advise that you leave the beach unless you want to be surrounded by a great many confused squids becoming people.
Also, there are homes in the city. You can just... take one, as strange as that sounds.

...homes are pretty, uh. Pretty damn permanent, aren't they?

However, I don't believe that you living in a home would preclude you working on that problem. It would give you a safe place to sleep and a roof over your head while you do, in fact, and believe me when I say those things are essential.
[ Flynn grew up in the Lower Quarter where too often people didn't have those things, and it was plain to see the toll that took on their mental health. No one is solving societal issues sleep-deprived and rain-wet and sick. ]

So she stands up, shaking the sand off.] Well. All right. Guess I can be sad indoors as easy as outdoors.
no subject
Precisely. You'll be much more... um, effectively-sad. Indoors.
If you require any assistance with procuring a house or food, please let me know. I would be more than happy to help.
