[ .. well, Sharon does seem surprisingly mature about all of this. And she's displaying an understanding of Johnny that's kind of rare to see in people.

So after waffling for a moment, Daniel decides to send her a message privately instead. ]

I think it'd help too. Can you maybe keep an eye out and see if anyone is making one with him? I'm asking you because he always gets weird whenever I ask him even the most innocent of questions.

If he still has none after a while, come back and ask me again. But it's better as a last resort sort of thing if it has to be me, you know? Knowing Johnny, he'll just find ways to be annoyed at me even over a bond.

[ Yes, he hates offering that. On the other hand, that part of Daniel that's too nice for his own good and too fussy about others' wellbeing extends even to Johnny, as much as he hates to admit it. ]

I'll keep an eye on him. Or I'll try to. You know how he is. But he tends to be open with me when I ask him things. Can you believe I asked him for dating advice? And he gave me good advice?
