[ The feed clicks on to reveal a blonde woman with green eyes staring into the camera. It takes a few moments before she adjusts the angle to give a better view of her face, one that it isn't so close up. She gives a warm smile. ]
Sorry about that! Still, getting used to this, uh, device.
[ Her accent is unmistakenly American. ]
Anyway. I'm Laurel Lance and I've been here for a little over a week now. Not going to lie, it's been a lot to take in, but I think I'm getting there. I just have a couple of questions for people.
Firstly, where has the best coffee?
Secondly, is there a gym or something like it around?
Last but not least, I'm wondering if there's a need for legal advice in this place. I'm a lawyer back home.
Thank you for taking the time to listen.
[ With that, Laurel ends the feed. ]

[Aww, but that brings a smile to his face.]
I'm glad you have your sister here- I think that helps. Having someone that close to you here. Gives you someone to uh... lean on, which you definitely need.

[She smiles in return.]
We can lean on each other. Even though I know I'm gonna spent some time worrying about her. Think it comes with being an older sister. I feel protective.

[His smile softens.]
That's nice, I get how that feels. I- well, I'm an only child, but I've ended up with a lot of people in my life, back home and here, who are pretty much siblings to me. You just want them to be safe, right? Even if they sometimes go running into danger anyway.
[LUZ. ]

[Like a text!]
Always want them to be safe. Not just her, but my other friends and family back home. They tend to get into trouble now and again, so I'm glad someone else understands.
[Oh. Laurel has spoken to Luz.]

[Oh good, she's already aware of the tiny chaos factory.]
I really do. The family I have here are pretty much professionals at getting themselves in danger. Uh... though they'd probably say the same about me. I've got into my share of problems, too. I guess you could say we look out for each other?

[And her nightly activities as a vigilante.]
I know we don't know each other well, but if you ever need back-up, I'd be happy to provide it.
no subject
[YEAH THAT'LL ABOUT DO IT.]
Oh, wow, thanks. That's...uh- really nice of you. Same to you! ...Obviously. Yeah.

[She gives him a warm smile.]
Maybe we'll meet each other in person one day. Have you been taking part in the activities that have been set up here?
no subject
Oh, the party? Hah, not really my thing. Parties in the dream usually ended...badly. I try to avoid them when I can. [Just in case there end up being any horrific murders or time loops or wars or prom ghosts. ] But yeah! I'm sure we will, I'll definitely be...around.

[She's flexible!]
If there is a place you feel more comfortable at, I can always swing by there.
no subject
[Just a big 'ol nerd here eschewing parties in favour of LIBRARIES. ]
no subject
Library, huh? I've been looking to learn more about this place and things in general, so that works for me. Just let me know the best time for you.
no subject
Exactly, and what better place to learn than a library? I usually head there for the afternoon? We can meet these sometime!
no subject
[Heh.]

/wraps this up
We'll talk then.
