001 Video: FilledwithSunshine

[At first, the image is that of just an absolutely giant stag. The stag's antlers are absolutely covered in songbirds, crows, ravens, and even a hawk, while a squirrel and chipmunk sit on his back next to a raccoon. And that's just some of the animals, there are creatures that look much meaner and nastier with infinitely harsher fangs and claws and mass. The stag huffs and shakes his head, the birds fly up for only a few seconds before going back to sitting on his antlers.]

...Now then, did I get it right this time?

[There are resounding tweets and chirps and squeaks and outright screeches from the animals.]

Oh! Wonderful!

[The picture turns around and then Snow White smiles bright and wide at the camera.]

Why hello there! It's so wonderful to meet you all! Or well, not meet you, not yet! [She giggles.] But I hope to meet you all properly soon.

My name is Snow White!

I was hoping someone here might have a very definite answer for a question I have! You see, I just arrived here not too long ago, but I'm not sure if this is the afterlife for all of us or not.

[Straight to the point this one.]

Some have said yes, others have said no! So I'm afraid I simply just don't know! I was so sure I was dead, after all, but what wonderful news it would be to know I'm not!

Would someone be so kind as to let me know? [Snow White asks all of this with a bright and cheerful smile. For a girl who thinks she's dead, she's frighteningly cheerful.

Trust me, even the most bubbly of us has a bit of a hounded side.

I'm pretty positive myself, considering everything.
This place is a major improvement over the last, and that was a step up from Vale.
So, I'll take it and make a home out of it.

I can handle the occasional monster or pirate on the fringe of town.
I've been fighting a lot of my life, after all, so I know it.
But this place is much much safer than Remnant.

[She had her stepmother, and Neo had Salem. Yeah, whether or not they knew it about each other, both their worlds were a lot less safe than this weird place.]

Oh! The pirates! Yes, I didn't get a chance to meet them but it must have been so interesting! I've never met a pirate before! I doubt my dwarfs would want me to! [She giggles.]

These weren't the "Story Book" sort of pirates.
You weren't missing out, take my word for it.
Absolutely no fashion sense, for one.

Nobody should ever let barnacles grow on their jackets, just saying.

Storybook pirates? [Snow being from the 1500s is 1. Before the golden age of piracy, and 2. Never had access to storybooks anyways.]

I don't know what storybook pirates are.

[Yep, that was totally a thing. Huh. She was totally not used to dealing with people who didn't know about the idea of storybooks. Well, this would be fun.]

Wow, ok, you don't know fables much?
Yeah, you're definitely not from Remnant, the land of "What's your favorite Fable?"
Haha, let me see if I can explain?

People romanticize Bandits and Pirates as these gallant, cut-throat showboats.
All dashing, debonair and really good at putting on a show while they rob some guy blind.
Pirates just do that with eye patches, parrots, grog and lots of singing.

These guys were just ugly and tentacled.
No style at all.
Could have taught them a thing or two.

I didn't say I didn't know fables! I know plenty of stories like that, and all sorts of tales that you tell children. [To, you know, behave.]

I just said I don't know what storybook pirates are. But I thought we already realized I'm not from the same home as you, silly goose!

Oh my, well, it's not that there aren't people like that in stories, those just aren't the stories I prefer. [Look even Robin Hood was around in her era even if it wasn't popular like it was in England.]

But the poor dears, most people don't do such things for no reason! They usually are forced into such terrible situations.

Stories like those are as old as Vacuo where I come from, so I'm glad they're not completely foreign.
They tend to be the sorts of stories that people like me star in after all, though I pull off the style much better.

Afraid if these guys were the "Tragic sort" they were long gone mentally.
Sometimes, you get yourself in too deep with whatever got you there in the first place.
That sort of thing happens, I've learned.

[Snow doesn't point out that she doesn't know nearly enough about Neo to understand what she means by what "types" of stories she'd star in. Nor does she have a single wit about where or what Vacuo implies, but she's polite enough to nod her head and smile.] I see. [She does not.]

I don't know if anyone is ever truly too far gone. [They are.] Everyone deserves a chance, sometimes it just takes the right person to reach them.

You and Red would get along pretty well with that attitude.
I'm a bit of a pragmatist when it comes to that sort of thing, really.
A lot of people probably can turn their act around, but not all.
At least that's my take.

Red? I'm afraid I don't know a Red. I once had an imaginary friend named Rose Red growing up, though!

After all, no one is born with cruelty in their hearts.

A nickname, for a girl named Ruby Rose.
You two would probably get along.
She's really hard to miss.
Just look for the spunky one with the eyepatch and the gigantic scythe.

Nobody is. But you can learn it real deeply depending.

Ooooh I see! Well, that's a lovely name. You know though, for as lovely as her name is, you've not given me yours! Unless you want to remain Silly Goose!

Neopolitan. Neo for short.
Silly Goose is funny, honk honk, but it will get old fast enough.
And I suppose I haven't gotten on your bad side yet.

Oh now, don't think so low of yourself! Besides, I'm sure you're lovely! [Plus, Snow has to HAVE a bad side for Neo to be able to get on it.]

No reason to bring that out unless you're really asking for it.
And I might not know you, but you don't seem the type.

That's sort of how this place always seems to work.
Forces us right into each other's personal spaces.

[It was hard to leave the implication that she hated how much Deerington and likely Trench forced her into other peoples' lives, but boy did she ever hate it. She was an intensely private woman in many ways, and had just about as many trust issues as Roman had had.]

Oh! Just like my very dear friend Dopey! He couldn't speak either! Though I don't know that he knew how to write as I never saw him try it. But he was an excellent dancer and musician! And he knew how to express himself very well!
