Turning 21 has been a completely underrated experience. I was expecting the blackout and loss of time. Even the warping to a new place isn't out of the realm of estimated probability.

But being genetically altered is a plot twist. I assume it is so we can fuck the monsters.

I call dibs on the raven dude.

That is fair and wise in many ways. I like to show the Pthumerians respect, but, also, I'm not too fond of the idea of letting them dictate my life completely. For me, it feels like a very fine balance. I won't do anything against my own principles to appease a god. Ever.

Indeed it does. We may disagree respectfully, but I appreciate this civil discussion and apologize for my initial reaction.

You raise an excellent point. A controlled environment is, indeed, preferable. And people should learn how to take responsibility for their own experiences on such an open forum. The internet did not exist in my world, so I'm not all that accustomed to its openness. It's still a shock to access ideas and information so easily, especially when that information is pertaining to something that just wasn't discussed openly in my original world.

That is understandable. Our worlds and our experiences in those worlds often significantly impact how we approach specific topics. I imagine I have some issues too, and I don't admit to that readily. It seems common amongst people, sadly.

Thank you. And, of course.

It's quite all right. At least I shall be more prepared for next time. I do not doubt that you have more shocking ideas to share with the world. I shall not chastise you when it happens.

I spent close to two years in a similar world called Deerington. They had this kind of updated technology there too, and I had to learn how to use it quickly, or else there'd be no way to communicate. I'm accustomed to 'texting' now, but I still often avoid the network. The network alone can be somewhat overwhelming at times for me, which must seem strange to you.

That is so very true. I suppose it can be a learning opportunity. That's an excellent way of looking at it.

There are a few. They are mostly teenagers, some younger than others. I am especially protective of a small handful of them. Perhaps I am a little too protective of them.
