Hello.

My name is Naruhodo Ryunosuke. I'm still relatively new to this so please forgive me if I make any mistakes. I'm looking for someone who could teach me how to use a katana. I've been lucky enough that I have the weapon but I have no idea how to wield it properly. After recent events, I think it would best to learn how to use it.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

The Force is a living energy field that is in all living creatures and things. It is in you and me and everyone else in this city, even the monsters and plants. It is what binds my galaxy together. NOT to be confused with magic, you understand, it is more like spiritual energy that can be used.

Those that are sensitive to it can manipulate in many ways. You can become stronger and faster than normal sentient beings, you can move things with your mind, and you can influence your will on the weak-minded creatures. There are two sides: Light and Dark. It is also not the same as good and evil, although many people confuse it as such. I am on the Dark Side.

So you're able to manipulate this energy?
That's fascinating.
There's nothing quite like that where I am from, or at least not that I'm aware of.
There's stories, of course, but that's mostly all it is.

Yes. A very, very, very small subset of those sentient species in the galaxy can do so. Some even now believe it is all mere legends and superstitions but it is very real. You will find all of those from my galaxy in this city can do the same. It seems a great number of Force-users have been attracted here.

That's not surprising that there are a number of Force users.
Though it would be surprising if you all knew each other.
This place seems to attract all sorts.
I wonder if there isn't some sort of reason to it.

I've long since stopped trying to make sense of how this place works. It works in ways as mysterious as the Force itself does.

How much of this place is predictable?
It doesn't seem like too much is.

The only real thing that is predictable is that something terrible will happen each and every month like clockwork. Beyond that, it's really impossible to tell what those things will be.

Has it always been something terrible?

[Because that doesn't bode well at all.]

Sometimes things are a little more intense and traumatizing and sometimes a little less. But every month, like the same way the new Sleepers will appear, something horrible will happen. It was the same way in Deerington and Trench has not changed that pattern.

[Maul's not one to sugarcoat things and he'd prefer people know exactly what this city is all about instead of going into things unprepared.]
