[ There has been a great deal of things that Sasuke has learned about in the few weeks he's been here just from talking to new people. All of them have been extremely confusing concepts, like therapy and the idea that people take care of children when they don't have anyone else to take care of them.
Some of these conversations where he's learned things have ended in more questions than answers. He could ask for more clarification from the few he's already made contact with, but the more possible answers he can get, the better. He thinks.

I have had many in my world decide that I wasn't though due to that lack of empathy. Admittedly, my actions have been more than just abrasive, but they decided to call my clan monsters long before I did anything to earn the title. It's made it difficult to want to care about what offends them.

In my world, humans have various abilities based on the internal energy system we're born with known as chakra. Chakra flows can be manipulated to do techniques of all kinds, but your genetics can determine what access you have to what techniques and how easy of a time you'll have learning others. For example, someone may be able to learn water techniques if their family has specialized in it for generations, but would have a hard time learning earth techniques if no one in their family had ever done them before.
A specific type of technique can only be utilized by people who are born with what is called "kekkai genkai", or ocular powers that manifest in a visible form. Usually these ocular powers are used to perform a special type of technique called genjutsu, which are illusionary based and can completely immobilize an opponent. My clan had a rare type of kekkai genkai, one of the three most powerful in existence, known as the "sharingan" and with it we can manipulate not only the chakra of other humans, but also the chakra of a set of legendary creatures known as the Tailed Beasts. People are already convinced almost anyone with a kekkai genkai is a danger to those around them and treat them as monsters as is, but our ability to actually manipulate and control large, potentially dangerous creatures made us that much more threatening to them. So rather than trust us to use those powers for the good of the village, they made sure we were feared and ostracized us to the outskirts of the village where no one would have to deal with us.
I have both the sharingan and its advanced form, the rinnegan, so I'm considered that much more dangerous, I suppose. Most want me to just keep my distance, but there are some who are trying to hunt me down to steal my eyes from me for their own gain. I keep my sharingan deactivated and cover the rinnegan as much as possible to keep a lower profile, but it only works for so long, so mostly I stay on the move.
