[ The video turns on showing Shouto looking a little worse for wear. Ice creeps up his neck on his right side, and there's dark circles around his eyes. When he speaks, his breath chills the air around him turning a misty white. ]

Has anyone seen Midoriya Izuku? He has green hair, green eyes. He's [ he lifts his hand around his chin ] this tall. 

He's been missing since the monster - Kaiju - attack. I haven't seen him or been able to get in contact with him since they took down the Kaiju.

Does anyone know where he is? Even the last time you saw him could be useful information.

[ He recognizes him briefly, but he's too caught up in what-if scenarios to pin-point from where. ]

I haven't seen him. I was... comatose for some time. I woke up after the attack and he was gone.

[ the fact that he wasn't there drives up the guilt ten-fold. worried. he has no idea what might have happened to him aside from the pieces of information he's been gathering. ]

I wasn't there for the attack, but the last time I talked to him, he'd woken up from a stint in a cocoon. He mentioned he was going to look through the Archives.

[Which isn't much, but it's somewhere to start, at least.]

I can take a look there, see if they saw him.

[swellter]

[ He shivers at the memory, remembering the way the cocoon enveloped his friend. He watched over him for some time before falling victim to the same stunt, missing his awakening. ]

I've never been there...

[ Has no idea what Midoriya would be searching for there. ]

Someone gave me some leads I can look into. If you can search the Archives, maybe between us, we can piece together where he might have gone.

[makingthetime]

We talked about the likelihood of him being infected with something, and he said he’d go and see if there was anything on the cocoons here. That’s all I know.

[A quick nod. Looking for someone? Yeah, Leon can do that.]

If I find anything, I’ll let you know. He can’t have gone far, his name’s still on the directory.

[swellter]

[ He stills. ] What kind of infection? [ Even as he says it, his senses are going on high alert. ]

The cocoons reminded me of how a virus strain worked in my world. People would be injected with it, then they'd be cocooned, and then they'd come out monstrous. I don't think, [he stresses,] that it's the same way here—he seemed fine when I talked to him. But he wanted to know what I knew about it.

[swellter]

[ A stillness sets in. The cocoons... ]

I woke up in a cocoon only a day ago. Does that mean I could be infected too?

[ Would Midoriya? Is that why he's not picking up? ]

[makingthetime]

No, I learned it's just something that happens to Sleepers sometimes. They sleep in a cocoon, wake up, and suddenly there's new memories rattling around their heads.

[He sighs.]

I'm pretty sure whatever's happening to Midoriya, it's unrelated. Hopefully. He didn't seem to be displaying any immediate symptoms when I saw him.

[swellter]

[ The explanation eases his worry, feeling a sense of relief that he doesn't have to worry about an unknown illness on top of everything else. ]

If you're sure...

[ Who is he to argue? He knows little about it, and if he says he's okay, he's willing to believe him. ]

If you find anything in the archives, please let me know. [ A momentary pause. ] If you find nothing, I'd like to know that too.
