Lovely. [a sigh] I am... not exactly built for fighting, which I imagine will make matters difficult. I suppose that's why so many turn to this 'blood magic' business.

Where I am from magic is eh- frowned upon, is a light way of putting it.

Where I'm from, magic ain't nothin' more than showy shit put on at Las Vegas and kids' birthday parties. The blood magic stuff is all new to me. But if you wanted to learn how to fight, I do some self-defense classes that could get ya started.

I am disabled, namely certain degenerative issues with my leg and trouble with my back. If you think there is something you could teach me with that in mind I would be interested.

No, I suppose not. And I do come pre-equipped with a cane if punching is ineffective.

We meet at the Gate. Mostly we've been goin' over the basics of fendin' off attackers, then we move on to weapons trainin'.

[He shakes his head at the offer of payment] No need to pay me. It's important that everybody knows how to defend themselves in this place.
