[The video opens up to show him in a large chinese style home. Everything just a little bit more old fashioned then even the rest of the world appears to be. Even despite having basically modern conveniences added in Deerington, they had always kept the home as true to what they grew up with.

There are dark circles under his eyes as if he hasn't been sleeping well. Enduring whatever blood issues they are all going through is taking its toll but for the mot part he has managed to keep a hold of himself. Which is what is prompting him to come to the network now.]

I admit I am not very used to using this...but hopefully everyone can hear me. I know that a lot of people are dealing with this blood...thing...that is causing us all to act out a little. I might have some options to help with that.

I have a lot of different methods that are good at protection, soothing of ailments and...a few that are meant to calm a person's mind. I'm used to having to deal with things that want to push a person towards madness.

[He hasn't had to really endure that in awhile but the fact still remains he is almost an expert in it.]

His name is Fern. I believe it's a magic that relates to his world. He's quite the brave little grass knight, though I find he doesn't like to be reminded too much of his plant nature.

Magic can be quite the strange thing, especially with so many worlds' versions.

[He is trying really hard not to let his amusement show that the man that is a plant...is named Fern. There is so much he could say about that. But he doesn't want to offend even if the plant knight isn't here to be offended.]

That is very true. I've definitely seen more then I ever expected to.

[Oh man, she'd been tempted to comment when she first met him. Hah. She'd learned better. That was the kind of joke you made when you were close friends with him. He was so testy at times.]

I don't think I ever quite expected to be in a world where blood magic was as prominent as it is here. And I don't think we've seen all that there is of it yet.

We definitely haven't. There is still a lot to learn about a lot of things here. I just hope the learning process isn't as difficult as the last world liked to make it.

[He would like to avoid being tossed into random places to pass some sort of test if he can.]

I am beginning to think that at least the basics will be easier to handle than they were in the dream. In the dream, things changed time and time again. The rules, outside of those of a dream itself were too hard to be sure of.

Here, it seems there is a system. we just need to figure it out.

It might have been a dream, but now parts of that dream are here...which doesn't make me feel particularly safe.

[Even if things are different, it doesn't change the fact that this house that he lived in, in that dream...is now on this world. And that would be unsettling except for the fact he is grateful to have this little bit of familiarity.]

Yes. The Hunters. The Blood Ministers. The Pthumerians themselves. There are pieces that hint at this being like a much more stable version of what we experienced in October in the past.

I don't think you should ever feel entirely safe where the Pthumerians are concerned. But we can protect some level of that safety for ourselves. We might just have to carve it out.

I can't say that I will ever trust the Pthumerians. They will have to do a lot of redeeming after the stuff we went through in the last place. But we also don't have much of a choice but to roll with whatever they put us through. Which just means we will have to help each other out to deal with it.

I don't know that I will ever truly trust them either. I may trust them to be 'what they are,' but that doesn't mean that they are either safe or helpful to us in all things. As you said, we have little choice but to deal with them.

We just need to be wary.

Wary is something I definitely know how to be. But I also am going to be hopeful. Because I want to hope that eventually we will get to go home and go back to normal and it just means surviving this place.

mmm, you're welcome to dream of home. I'm quite certain you will find your way back when it is time. Absolutely certain in fact. [She said it with a kind of certainty she didn't usually talk using. There was an absolute sense to it.]

I'm not in a hurry to get back. My work at home is done... and while I miss my friends from there, were I to live I'd miss my friends here. So I think I will focus on making this place easier to survive should the others visit, yes? After all, for all that we should be wary, I want to be optimistic too.

[He wants to be certain of that as well but thinks in his life have never gone quite as he has hoped or planned. So he is going to stay cautiously optimistic.]

It's true. They might come to this place too. I hope you get to see them soon. We will stay optimistic and hopeful for those kinds of things.

Yes, that's something that I'd like to stay optimistic about. After all, if we get things nice and cleaned up for them, it might actually be a pleasant place to visit, might it not?

Right! We need to find the good of this place as well as the bad. Just like we did in the other world. It wasn't always doom and gloom. Focus on the good and when they show up, make that what they experience more of.

And if there's not enough good? Make more. I'm sure at this rate someone will make a fruit wine distillery if worst comes to worst. [She laughed, even if she had no plans to drink herself.] We'll make a paradise out of hell yet.

I will be the first person at their door if they do. I definitely appreciate a good wine.

[And eventually the supply in his house will run dry.]
