Hello, rambunctious children, with your magical self-writing rocks and magic-yous. I smell so many different yous, by the way! All these shapeshifter-sorts, angel-sorts and demon-sorts. Oh, demons, I’d be delighted to meet you, but if you are like the odds of dear Michael, then carry on. I will not bite. You all are welcome to call me what your heart tells you to, but Ammy, as much as Ammako, have always been the ones to soften my spots.

I'm very aware of the sun's disappearance, and these cursed lands have not allowed it to rise as of late, but, if you are to ask for it, in your thoughts and in your hearts, it shall come to you. Your plantlife shall flourish, your waters cleansed, and perhaps the air you breathe will taste less like a boiling pot of rot down your throat. In the meantime, it shall find a way. It always does. Fear not!

And if you have little interest in these things, then tell me, I am most curious: what is faith, to the lot of you? I am in the mood for the Good Chats as I carry on with my duties, yes.

Oh, and one more thing! If anyone manages to come across a bundle of bones that look and smell of the holy sort by the by, may I have them? They are my favorite snack.

I'm a disciple of Mariana. I don't know if that so much constitutes faith as the presence of the Pthumerians is as much a fact of this world as the rain.

These are Holy Bones! Delicious. If your home is built of them, I'm sure I would have tracked them all and eaten your home by now. Though I met a sweet young boy that had a leading scent to a house of bone— Yes, I remember. Those are simply bones. Macabre architecture, no?

[Faith, huh? Well, modern Japan definitely still has its people who practice various faiths, though less and less people actually believe in gods these days - at least completely. Sad, but true, though it will always exist in some form.]

Eeh...I don't think I've come across bones recently, o-other than those creepy skeleton waiters at that party a few weeks ago... [Which Ochako would rather forget, honestly.] but there's plenty of regular animals bones people throw away. Pork bones, chicken bones, stuff like that. If you want, I can leave them out...but it might be a little dangerous.

[Considering beasts do supposedly prowl certain places in Trench, especially at night.]

As for faith...um. I mean, I don't think me or my family are super duper religious, but we still pray at shrines and temples, and many people in general still practice hatsumode every new year!! Even with all the Heroes and stuff in the world these days, people still do things like that. It may just be for tradition, but I like to think that when someone passes on, they can enter the afterlife peacefully and look over us.

That is a lovely thought to have and keep. And Hatsumode! I know that very well. In my days, they thrived like busy ant hills. Are you from Nippon, then?

And of those other-thing bones, worry not of leaving them out; they are not the holy kind, I’m afraid (You may always bury them, though. It’s very rare to see one give thanks for the sacrifice those creatures have made to us).

Mm, I am!! Though nowadays we call it Japan. Though, ehehe, funny enough...the world I was in before this one was called Nippon! It was like an older, less modernized version of my world, where things ran on steampower and magic!! There were even yokai and various evil ayakashi around... The inu-yokai were my favorite. So cute... ♥ [OCHAKO WILL NEVER FORGET STRONG LADY DOGGO WITH HER LITTLE FLOWER KIMONO POWER LIFTING HERSELF AND ANOTHER GROWN ASS WOMAN ON HER SHOULDERS. Eh...I never thought of it that way, but...fish bones apparently do make good compost, if I ever wanna start a garden.

There are two faiths common to Westeros, and many in other lands. I only know the Old Gods and the New, and I will be very glad to tell you of them, but I have found a book about other lands from my world that has some stories from other faiths. I can read them to you, later, or you could look at it yourself if you like.

You know, in the entire history of my world, there's only ever been one human who accurately figured out the makeup of the afterlife before ending up there? He didn't start a religion about it or anything, he just had some weird mushrooms. Interesting guy. Honestly a little sad. I met him, later on, turns out it's a good case study for why humans shouldn't focus too much on the afterlife while living.

There's another demon around here - Paimon. He's...this might not be technically accurate, but he's sort of just a kid. He means well.

Why is there a message on here about demons? Just the very mention of the word is enough to send shivers down Chizuru's spine. Maybe it means that she shouldn't reply to this and instead hide away, but.. she can't quite help herself. Before she knows it, she's already sent a message in return.

I do not believe in any gods but my faith comes from my belief in the Force. There is a Light Side and there is a Dark Side. NOT the same, you understand, as good and evil. I follow the Dark Side myself. Even when I have had nothing else in my life and been at my lowest point, it has been there for me to t turn to.

[Demon-sorts, like Michael. They hum in amusement when they see this, discarding it as naive drivel. But it sticks in their mind, and they can't let it go. Faith.

Faith is what lead to their fall, then their death, then their resurrection, the decline of the Kingdom of Monsters, and then their apotheosis. The more faith they had, the more destructive they became. The more power they had. Now, far from the reach of their true partner, they've got nobody to put their faith in but themselves.]

Faith is a funny thing. It has been an aspect of my upbringing for as long as I can recall.

Faith is power, both in those who hold it, and those who hand it out. A king is only as powerful as the blind faith and hopes of his people, who will wait on him to solve their problems their entire life. The people in my world wished for a savior, desperately, hungrily. They thought that I was what they were looking for. The Angel of the Deltarune, who would free their people and empty the underground. Their faith empowered me, and I believed in it too.

We were all tragically mistaken. I don't even know if the prophecy was real or not now.

For me personally... after I lost my faith in myself and in my family and in my people, I found a new source of inspiration, who lead me to the hollow truth of my existence, and who guided me to the end.

I have a question for you, though.
