[ The woman that appears is a - level expression, a little happy or sad that plays on her features. Level, most especially, as she clears her throat. Her veil tied around her head to tame her curls back, her shift and vest tying herself up neatly.
Peeking out from her veil is her lamp friend, and drifting around her in a circle is a soft finned creature, her Omen. Delicately colored in reds and blues as it swims in the air. ]
I find myself remiss, in how to make an introduction...
... I am Second-Child, Gilia St. Loe, Daughter-Sea, She Who Sings the Ocean to Prosperity, Who Echoes With the Ceaseless Voice.
[ That out of the way. ]
I am new to this place, this... city. I do not have much in the way of the coin, but I am skilled in other forms. I can sew, weave, till a field, clean, cast a line, or a net, gut a fish, help tend animals, both with birthing and killing, cook many types of meals...
But if you have need of anything repaired or cooked... please, if there is something I can do for resources in return, only let me know, and I shall be your glad servant.

It's good to meet you, Lady Gilia. Would it be all right if I asked you which sea you sing to, and where you were before?

I sing to the soul of all seas, as I am a child of it. I hail from the Isle of St. Loe, who is in the patronage of the Great Spirit, the Sea-Father.

That's very good of you. I suppose I was only asking where St. Loe is, if it were on the Summer Sea, or the Sunset Sea, or the Jade Sea. Have you heard of any of those seas? Do you know the lands of Westeros and Essos, or the Summer Islands, or Sothoryos?
This ocean is called the Pthumerian Ocean, and the parts closest to the city are ruled by the Pthumerian Mariana. The Pthumerians rule this place, and they have great magic. They are a different people to us, and they think and do things differently. You might learn more about them at the School of Mutter or the Pale Sanctuary.
Nothing will be forbidden to you because of matters of your birth, but neither can you improve your station through marriage. Many things are done differently here, with machines and magic particular to this place. Raleigh is a good man and a great teacher, and if you wish to work on his farm he will show you how to use them. It's a good farm, and more like a castle farm than some others, where they only grow a few things.
[and they don't have anything too strange like hybridized cacao beans or actual vegetable lambs.]

[ The rest, though, is a great deal to consider. Her mouth pulled into a thoughtful expression a flicker like a candle flame before it settles into the plain and simple neutrality. Just listening to this woman explains a great deal.
Then when she is done, where she nods, eyes flicking down in consideration. ]
I suppose my own wits shall have to do, I think that shall suit me fine, I have no interest in taking another husband or wife so soon.
[ Thank the spirits for small mercy. ]

Then you may know me as Sansa Stark of Winterfell, rightful Lady Protector and Warden of the North in the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. But the Queen Regent of that land has made an enemy of my house and put a bounty on my head, so I'm afraid I must ask you to call me Alayne Stone, where people can hear it. I swear on the old gods and the new that I am innocent of the crime she claims I committed, and that she and her house pose the true danger to our realm.
But none of that matters here. We cannot go back. I fear only that some sellsword from my realm will wash up on these shores and think to claim a bounty on another world.
Spinning and weaving is done in Shiver, and I'm afraid they also use magic and machinery particular to this world. You might learn it, in time. But much sewing is still done with needle and thread, and I would have work for you, if you need it. You might ask the lantern imps for the Rookery in Cellar Door, if ever you have need of me.

It shall not pass my lips. Though should they come, you will find an ally in me, though I have no doubt I am least amongst your supports, my lady, but they shall know why I am called The Ceaseless Voice, most surely should they dare to try it.
[ It's low, quiet, she does not raise her voice or shout, she does not need to. There is a hard, quick edge of a flat blade against stone. ]
Though for your honesty, you should have mine. I am known as the Queen who drowned an armada for the betrayal I was given. It is true. I told them I would never go to war, but they did not believe me, and sort to bring the war to me instead.
So I ended it. If one should come of my lands, there is no falsehood to the destruction they say I have caused.
