[When the video turns on, Usagi looks... well, honestly downright haggard. But Usagi, when exhausted has a bad habit of masking and thus, acts even more bubbly and energetic than usual. And before you ask, no, she's not fine. But she will lie and say she is.
But don't mention the bags under her eyes, that's rude.]
HI EVERYONE!
[She's waving at the screen excitedly in some hopes to not let on the deep exhaustion she's badly hiding.]
My name is Usagi Tsukino! I uh... met some of you before when we first got here but couldn't really properly introduce myself! BUT I CAN TALK AGAIN! [And she's decided to make that everyone's problem.] Actually, I've been able to talk for AWHILE but ANYWAY! So hi!
Anywho! Do you know what I realized last night? I mean, probably a LOT of people have realized this actually but I doooon't think anyone has said it, or, at least I don't think so! Maybe I missed it! Sorry if someone already said something like this!
[She's rambling.]
Anyhow! I realized that while lots and lots and lots and lots of people may already know lots and lots and lots of other people cause ya know, so many of us came from Deerington, there are JUST as many people who have absolutely no clue who anyone else is or where we are or why we're here! I mean, I'm those last two too, but I lucked out on knowing some of you!
SO! So so so! I thought, hey! Why not introduce yourself and then we can all get to know one another and we can all help one another and it will be awesome and we can be all amazing together!
I'LL START!
My name is Usagi Tsukino! I'm originally from Tokyo, Japan! I love cats and rabbits, food, and video games and my favorite hobbies are sleeping and eating but oh oh oh! I like shopping, making all sorts of new friends, playing video games, reading manga and comics, aaaaaand well actually I can't think of anything else right now!
Now it's your turn!
((OOC Notes: Feel free to tag other people, it's essentially an open post.))

I mean, if you ever want to learn, I'd be happy to teach you what I know! It seems like now could be as good a time as any to start, if you're interested.

What? Oh! I'm sure you're selling yourself short. Learning music can be a little hard at first? But once you've figured out the basics it's hard to do anything that could be called murder unless you're really trying.

Well, there's no instrument where you can turn into an expert overnight, but there are ones that are easier to pick up? A harmonica might work well for you - they don't go out of tune for a really long time, so you don't have to worry about that, and they don't make weird noises if you play them 'wrong', like a violin would.
no subject
Uh, what about like, I dunno... a harp? I mean, I have no idea where to even GET a harp, but they don't have a wrong noise either, right?
But something like a harp would be great. What's like a harp?
no subject
[ He raises up one of his hands towards the screen, showing off the calluses on his fingertips before turning it back to his face. ]
But! If it's something you want to do, I think it's still worth it, definitely! Depending on what you mean by 'like a harp' there's a few options? A lyre is probably the closest, and I know how to play that pretty well, but I don't know how easy it would be to find another one for you here.
no subject
Again, please.
[She already gets insulted for how much she talks, she doesn't want a wind instrument to show off how full of air she is.]
no subject
It's one of my favorite instruments. [ he says, approvingly. ] You can borrow the one I got from Julia during lessons, until we can find you one of your own. There's got to be someone somewhere in the city that makes them, right? They're a popular instrument, at least where I come from.
no subject
You really don't mind doing all this? Is there anything I can do in return?
no subject
[ He'll think about it. It might be an interesting project! ]
And I don't mind at all! I like sharing what I know with people. Music's more fun if you have other people to play it with, and anyway I can't think of anything I really need help with right now? If that changes, I can let you know, but I really am happy to try to teach you for its own sake.
no subject
But yes, please let me know! I want to help in return.
no subject
[ He pauses, and something seems to occur to him suddenly. ]
Have you... seen a lyre, before? Do you want me to show you what one looks like?

This is awesome! I still have no idea how to play it but I actually do know what it is.
no subject
[ He beams, excited for the recognition. It doesn't necessarily make his job any easier, but it's still exciting that she knows someone else who plays. ]
Like I said, they're pretty popular instruments where I come from? But I've met more than a few people here who've never seen one before. It's a little strange.
[ By far not the strangest thing he's had to deal with people not knowing about, but still kind of surreal. ]
no subject
Mnn, maybe it's just not popular there? Some people have never heard of the koto and it's the national instrument of my country!
no subject
[ He beams, proud of his friend. ]
And maybe. I admit, I haven't heard of the koto either? But I don't know much about Japan to begin with. What sort of instrument is it?
no subject
It would be easier to just show you. [Usagi sends a picture of a koto to Orpheus.]
no subject
[ Or just, you know, stop, but Orpheus is cautiously optimistic about Usagi's chances. Anyway, he pulls up the image she sends him and gives a small, delighted gasp. ]
Oh! It's beautiful! I'm sure they sound just as lovely, too. Is it played with fingertips or a pick? Or a bow, but I don't see one there.
no subject
You play it will special picks on your fingers. I can probably find a video of someone playing it. [Since the Omni was still very much like the old Fluid.]

So here she has the special picks plus she's using her fingers. And I'm not that great with technology either, honestly. This is pretty impressive for me. My friend, Ami-chan, she can do EVERYTHING on a computer or laptop or any device, really.
no subject
Right! There are a couple of guitarists and banjo players I know who play with similar picks! I haven't seen that technique before, though - at the beginning, where she plays a sort of rolling note with her right hand. It's such a unique sound. Thank you for sharing it with me.
