[It's been a few days since dying, and Luz had unfortunately kept this to herself. If you haven't been able to tell, this girl has been having a pretty rough month, and it didn't seem to be getting better. She lurched her device to focus, and, though coughing, was looking directly into the camera].

So. Uh. Died. First time, ha ha, not a fun experience. Kinda looking for some company, here or just on this thing otherwise. I should probably be getting rest, yes, but staring up at the ceiling regretting stuff and hating yourself can only keep out the quiet for so long.

Also, been out of the loop a bit. Someone update me on things?

Luz was pretty sure that she was going to get an earful from people in the house, but ESPECIALLY from Ahiru, who had very much not wanted her to go on the mission. Luz had thought she could handle it and had handled somewhat similar situations before. Now, though, since they'd talked about it before, Luz knew it looked even WORSE.

Add the whole mix of self-loathing for being too weak to avoid death and the ever-present gloom of missing Fern and Varian, and Luz was pretty much a powder keg of emotions and blah. She was in her room right now, dimly lit with her purple lights and surrounded by a fort of stuffed animals and, well, Luz was a sight to see.

Oh, Klee found sunsettias, valberries, berries, sweet flowers, calla lilies, some artifacts, and a bottle of berry and burst. Oh, I found a book too! The book has mommy and me in it! It has pictures of places and people that I drew, but I don't remember every drawing them. It's weird, but I like it.

[She found some of Sucrose's candies as well. But only ate one because it reminded her of home. Any time Klee saw Miss Sucrose, she'd secretly give Klee a candy. She's on her way. It shouldn't take too long to get there.]

Umm, Luz. Klee looks different because people are turning into monsters. But they're all normal. Just look like monsters.

I don't know what all of those are, but they totally sound really cool! You have to show me them when you come over, if you want!


Oh. Oh! Huh. That's new. What sort of monster do you look like?

[She wasn't deterred, it would probably just remind her of the Isles].

They're super yummy fruit! I'm bringing some over because they're so good. Klee promises to show you. I'm bringing Mom's book.

Klee's not sure. I have claws, weird fin thingies on my neck and scales. Klee doesn't like the claws. They poke holes through my gloves and make stuff hard to hold. Oh, I think I see your house? Ooooh, you have a tower!

[Klee is going to assume the house with the tower is Luz. She walks up to the house.]

Oh, great! Maybe we can make some together?

Huh, that's not so bad! Do you think maybe you're fit for water?

[Luz had a housemate who naturally had those]!

Yup, we do! I guess that's...our tower now?

Sure!

Maybe? Klee doesn't know. I've never heard about fish with claws before, not even in the fairy tale books back home. Crabs have them, but I don't want to turn into one. I guess they sorta look like dragon claws! But if Klee turns into one, I want to be a nice one like Dvalin and not a bad dragon like Durin.

Oh, um. Klee's here. Do I knock the door?

Oh, I was thinking more of a fish monster type. They probably have claws.

[Luca didn't, but she was sure other fish monster(?) types existed that did].
