[It's been a few days since dying, and Luz had unfortunately kept this to herself. If you haven't been able to tell, this girl has been having a pretty rough month, and it didn't seem to be getting better. She lurched her device to focus, and, though coughing, was looking directly into the camera].

So. Uh. Died. First time, ha ha, not a fun experience. Kinda looking for some company, here or just on this thing otherwise. I should probably be getting rest, yes, but staring up at the ceiling regretting stuff and hating yourself can only keep out the quiet for so long.

Also, been out of the loop a bit. Someone update me on things?

Luz was pretty sure that she was going to get an earful from people in the house, but ESPECIALLY from Ahiru, who had very much not wanted her to go on the mission. Luz had thought she could handle it and had handled somewhat similar situations before. Now, though, since they'd talked about it before, Luz knew it looked even WORSE.

Add the whole mix of self-loathing for being too weak to avoid death and the ever-present gloom of missing Fern and Varian, and Luz was pretty much a powder keg of emotions and blah. She was in her room right now, dimly lit with her purple lights and surrounded by a fort of stuffed animals and, well, Luz was a sight to see.

[And shortly after that, the omen finds her way to where Luz is, tapping at a window and yipping to announce her arrival.]

[That's something he'll have to ask Luz in person, but for now Tooru just gathers some snacks from the house. Better to have offerings as well, especially since his omen is a menace.

Said fox just lets Luz fawn over her, even lifting paw and tilting her head to seem innocent. Even to offer pets should she want to pet her.]

[Luz is wasting no time petting the fox and bringing it water and a bowl of pieces of meat: they were having LOTS of leftovers, which was such a good thing].

This is a really cool omen!

[Lucía takes all that attention with glee, enjoying the pets and food. What a treat! How spoiled she's getting! Even if she crawls into the fridge in the middle of the night, much to her sleeper's annoyance.]

[Not much for talking, but Lucía knows some things, and she fluffs her tails cutely to try and get called cute as well.]

[Luz couldn't help but laugh at the inquisitive creature, and their willingness to suck up all the attention. Owlbert, who was roosting atop the kitchen ceiling, seemed to regard this with a knowing glance but was otherwise unperturbed].

Yes, very cute!

[Tempest, her own omen, did seem slightly offended and let out a little whine, putting her head on Luz's legs as if to remind her that SHE was the better omen].

Don't worry, Tempest! I haven't forgotten you either!
