Hello. Some of you may know me already, but to those who don't — I'm Rose Da Silva. Sharon's mom.

( Her smile warms, and she gently sets her mug down so she can turn her full focus on the video she's making. )

I've been here for... a while. Half a year now. I have to admit, this place isn't like where I come from at all, and I'm still... trying to adjust.

I know a lot of you are from worlds that may be similar to this one. You've probably been able to settle in a lot easier than me. But... I wanted to offer something. Because I know there are a lot of young people here, people... on their own.

( Her smile wavers, brow knitting slightly. A lot of people without parents, without help. And maybe they've been doing quite well on their own; Rose has certainly witnessed almost disconcerting levels of independence from the Sleeper youth. Often, it suggests that... many of them might not have had a strong parental presence back home, either. Several of them have directly told her as much, or she's seen... memories, shared by accident. )

I can't make things, but I can show you how to buy and use them, if you like. Like... well, if anyone might need some more clothes and could use a hand, I'd be very happy to show you the shops I've discovered around here.

( She's.... offering to help take you shopping, yes. This month, there's a growing compulsion to teach, and maybe Rose is....... filled with the need to do some Mom Teaching Things for others! )

There are some really nice shops in certain parts of the city. I'm sure we could find something to fit your personal style.

( Her smile brightens again; she seems excited. Back home, before she was venturing into the depths of Silent Hill to rescue her daughter, she was one fancy suburban mom. Shopping was her thing. And maybe it seems a little silly, considering so many young people around here are... warriors, fighters, have some sort of strong power.... do they really need something as simple as a shopping trip while she's Mom For A Day?

....The offer is there. She wants it to be there, just in case someone does need it. Because maybe she doesn't have a lot of Trench-appropriate skills to put out here, in comparison to others. But being a mother... that's what she wanted to be for her whole life. She's not explicitly framing it that way, but that's what she feels the most comfortable offering, guidance that might fall under the "maternal" or "guardian" category of teaching. )

I'd be happy to treat you to lunch or dinner too, or show you around other places in the city, if you like. The weather's so nice lately.

It's good to meet you, Lady Rose. Sharon speaks very well of you; I know that you can provide great comfort to the people here. Are you a Night Walker, by trade? What you describe would do well here in Cellar Door, I think.

( Oh — someone who knows Sharon, who seems to be on good terms with her. Rose immediately feels a blossom of warmth within her chest. )

Hello, it's very nice to meet you. I'm not, and I must admit that I don't know too much about them.

( Though she'd explored all over the city for those first few months in search of her daughter, Rose is still not too acquainted with the workings of this place. She's been sticking very close to home up until now, volunteering at the Orphanage nearby. )

Is that what you do?

[sansa laughs gently. she doesn't feel she has the patience for any of it, even singing, if she had to do it for hours every night.]

No, I only make clothes for them to perform in. I make clothes for Sleepers too, and leather armor. You might take your guests by the Rookery in Cellar Door, so that I can make clothes for them, and for you. The lantern imps do know it.

Oh— you make clothes. ( Rose brightens up at that. That's amazing — not just because she's a shopaholic.... but as a service to offer to others. She's still learning what people do here, making connections... It's nice to meet the young lady who makes clothing for others. )

I'll certainly do that! I know a lot of people have mentioned having a hard time finding clothes in the shops that they feel comfortable with, so I'm sure they could use your help. Myself included.

( She smiles again. )

Are there any kinds of supplies you could use more of? I'd be happy to try to provide some things like that.

[oh! sansa smiles brightly. that is a kind offer. she likes to think her lady mother would behave similarly in trench, with all of her friends.]

Well, I'm always looking for good cloth and leather, if you happen to see any, but I shouldn't like to ask you to go out of your way. Beads are much easier found by chance, and it feels like I'm forever running out of them. I would be very grateful for whatever you could bring me.

Any little trinket you could sew on a garment would be helpful, truly. I'm sure someone would want it; performers have the most interesting requests. I never have any trouble with anything any Sleeper wants anymore, after everything I've made for the stage.

I've been collecting a lot of little things to trade with over time. When I first arrived here, I was scouring the beach pretty much daily... I'd be glad to send them your way.

( Rose would love to support the young woman's business, and it's really wonderful of her to offer something that can help so many people, here. )

It sounds like a nice thing to keep busy with, sewing. I've never been too good with crafting, but it seems relaxing. Did you like to sew back in your world too, or is it something you learned when you came here?

[she laughs gently.]

I've been sewing since I was very little. Where I come from the shops only sell cloth and notions, not clothes already made.

[actually traders mostly brought their wares to winterfell, and she made most of her clothes in the vale out of lysa arryn's old ones, but she imagines merchants have shops in the cities for the people that live there.]

Embroidery is very nice, and easy to learn. I've been helping Sharon with it, and she's been helping me with painting. I should be very glad to show you how to do it, too.
