First of all, I would like to just say that everyone needs to be careful about learning things.
There are things that perhaps, maybe just maybe, you don't need to learn and you're better off not knowing.
And on that subject, I am really and firmly starting to believe we should burn all books.

No, I'm serious. We absolutely need to burn every book in the city of Trench right now.
And if any of you mother fuckers understands why I'm currently freaking out, sucks to be you too.
Because I'm pretty sure it's happening again and I could really use a little help.

I'm currently hanging out in a tree in Prufrock and could use an assist.
Also, Maul? I mean it. You see a book titled Buried, just fucking burn that bad boy before you get the urge.
We do NOT need to repeat the shit that we had happen last time.

I hate reading.

Serious question, but why? Books can be dangerous with misinformation, but burning them...? What's happening again, did something happen before?

I haven't been here very long, only since March, and I'm getting the feeling that this place is weirder than what I've already experienced so far.

Well, this isn't the disinformation kind of evil.
That is absolutely a thing that can happen but not what we're talking about here.
These are cursed books that curse the reader kind of evil.

So, uh, I read this book and now the ground's trying to eat me.

wh-- cursed books? And here I thought that getting animal features and turning into a monster was weird enough, or having a river suddenly try and drown you, what the HELL! Who the hell would curse them to do things like that?!

I think they might be tied to one specific guy if he's in town.
They're seriously bad news, but usually? People kind of can tell the real thing from regular books.

As for if it gets destroyed will it fix it for me?
Maybe, or maybe the ground opens in a sinkhole and swallows me whole.

That's a thing that happened once to me.

The more I learn about this place, the more I'm convinced it's closer to what people describe as hell. The ground opening into a sinkhole sounds horrifying.

Oh trust me.
This place could be a lot worse than what you think is hell.
It's just kind of seriously unpleasant at times, but...
It's an improvement from the nightmare.
