[Ok, so ... Neo had a little problem. No, strike that. She had a major problem. She was currently perched on top of a bench, glaring at the ground as if it had wronged her. She scowled down and glared at the ground before typing her message.]
First of all, I would like to just say that everyone needs to be careful about learning things.
There are things that perhaps, maybe just maybe, you don't need to learn and you're better off not knowing.
And on that subject, I am really and firmly starting to believe we should burn all books.
No, I'm serious. We absolutely need to burn every book in the city of Trench right now.
And if any of you mother fuckers understands why I'm currently freaking out, sucks to be you too.
Because I'm pretty sure it's happening again and I could really use a little help.
I'm currently hanging out in a tree in Prufrock and could use an assist.
Also, Maul? I mean it. You see a book titled Buried, just fucking burn that bad boy before you get the urge.
We do NOT need to repeat the shit that we had happen last time.
I hate reading.

I remember that happened before one time.

And we should just set the thermostat at the local library up to 451 to be safe.
I just love the smell of charnel ash in the morning.
Yes, I'm being snarky.
And not 100% sure, but I read a book and now the ground's trying to swallow me.
So, I'm just going to say "Karma is a bitch" and assume that it's something like that.
Because the last cursed book I read dumped me in the sewers for digging a hole.

You need a pickup? My Omen can fly.
no subject
That book last time I read was absolutely riviting.
Let me quote you an excerpt.
Dig. Dig dig dig. Dig dig. DIG! Dig dig dig dig dig. Dig.
Real poetic stuff, let me tell you.
And I could absolutely use a pick up right now, because this tree's all by its lonesome.
And I'm pretty sure the ground's going to try and swallow me again.

Buried?
Is this about the weird books that showed up back in the dream?
They aren't back are they?
no subject
Would you consider it karmic payback for me to read the second chapter of a book.
And the ground trying to swallow me whole?
no subject
I think we've dealt with enough payback while we've been here.
Don't you think?
no subject
I promise I'm not actually being all mopey and depressed up in the tree.
Though I am admittedly just slightly scared shitless of the ground atm.
Just seems ironically karmic to have me reading yet another "Dig."
Should have named it dug.
Ugh, at least it hasn't dropped me in the sewer yet.
You know where we can find a wheelbarrow maybe?

And while Chizuru certainly has her own current problems to deal with, she can't help but get worried enough to reply all the same when she sees the other's message. ]
what is wrong with the books precisely
and why are you in a tree
is there any way i can help
[ Chizuru's.. muted way of writing might not indicate it, but she sure is worried right now, okay. ]
Re: text; un: lookingforshinsengumi
I'm not entirely sure how they got back unless one particular guy showed up.
Which, if that's the case? Greaaaaaat.
The ground is trying to swallow me right now.
Maybe bring a cart?
no subject
[ Maybe Chizuru is taking that suggestion a little too seriously, but.. never say the girl is not dedicated towards the people she sees as friends. Apparently Neo is out there needing help, even if Chizuru isn't so sure how the ground could swallow up anyone, and so Chizuru is just here trying to provide said help.
Even if it means procuring a cart from somewhere.
She'll figure it out. ]
no subject
Heck, a wheelbarrow would probably do the job, even if it's kind of embarassing.
I just need to not touch the ground is all.
[Right now? She was glad for that dedication, because this was seriously freaking her out.]

Text; un: darkness
I am going to destroy that as quickly as I can pull out my lightsaber.
[Then a thought occurs to him.]
Last time these books belonged to that abomination. What was his name....? He and a bunch of his cronies stole the ones I had hoarded and hurt Malice while doing so. [Both made him mad but the latter had been what really put them on Maul's hitlist. No one hurt his beloved pets and got away with it. No one.] If they have shown up again, they must belong to him or someone else from that world. Perhaps we should kill them and this will all stop?
Re: Text; un: darkness
I figured I should warn you of all people because boy are these things the last thing for us.
I don't know if that guy is here, but it's possible he is.
And if he is, he'll be trying to collect and seal them away again most likely.
But I think we both know killing him won't make them go away if he's here, so plan B.
Destroy every book in sight. Sounds like a great plan to me.
no subject
It would still be satisfying to send that abomination back to the ocean for a period of time.
[One can almost hear the grumble in Maul's voice in the text. Murder always does feel like the best solution to him even now.]
no subject
You aren't usually quite this blunt about things, but he did manage to piss you off something fierce.
We'll see if he's lurking somewhere in this place...
I'll join in the bookburning, once the ground is steady again.

Will burning the book remove the curse? I'm sure someone here could track it down for you. And I could bring you a horse, if you like.
Re: text; un: lady
Haha, but yeah fair enough. I might be overreacting since the ground tried to eat me.
That puts me in a bit of a bad mood really.
I'm not entirely sure if that will remove the curse, not exactly.
It was unpredictable the last time that I had to deal with these things, if theyre the same.
I'm thinking a cart might be wiser for the horse.
no subject
My friend Adaine knows very useful magic and has experience in removing curses, you might like to speak to her about it. Her user name is Oracle.
I'm very sorry the ground tried to swallow you. That sounds like it would be terrifying. Is it only the ground outside, or are you having trouble with floors, too?

So, this shit happened a while back with a bunch of these cursed books in the nightmare.
And I ran across this book, called "Dig."
Well, to give you an excerpt? The most riveting part was this:
"Dig Dig. Dig dig dig dig dig dig! Dig Dig. Dig dig dig dig dig dig!"
Really made you want to to dig and never stop.
Got destroyed and opened a hole dropping me in the sewers.
This time? The book talks about getting buried.
And now the ground's trying to swallow me up.
Karma's a bitch, I tell you.

buried? like. buried alive?
[ god he still hasn't gotten over waking up in a fucking coffin. Like, c'mon Cas, couldn't you have put him in a goddamn motel or something? ]

Un: Olympian; Text
Serious question, but why? Books can be dangerous with misinformation, but burning them...? What's happening again, did something happen before?
I haven't been here very long, only since March, and I'm getting the feeling that this place is weirder than what I've already experienced so far.
Re: Un: Olympian; Text
That is absolutely a thing that can happen but not what we're talking about here.
These are cursed books that curse the reader kind of evil.
So, uh, I read this book and now the ground's trying to eat me.
So I'm up in a tree.
welcome to Trench.
Weird shit like this happens.
no subject
[Nevermind this whole place is just one huge curse, in his opinion.]
I feel like I'm gonna need to just expect the weirdest, if not worse, things here. But... If that book gets burned, is the ground gonna stop trying to eat you?
