There are things that perhaps, maybe just maybe, you don't need to learn and you're better off not knowing.
And on that subject, I am really and firmly starting to believe we should burn all books.

No, I'm serious. We absolutely need to burn every book in the city of Trench right now.
And if any of you mother fuckers understands why I'm currently freaking out, sucks to be you too.
Because I'm pretty sure it's happening again and I could really use a little help.

I'm currently hanging out in a tree in Prufrock and could use an assist.

Yeah, okay, that's not too far. It really is much faster flying - gets you past all the stupid curvy streets here.

[Michael smiles, leaning back against the spot between his Omen's shoulders. It's gliding now, so the trip is actually pretty smooth.]

[She did hold on a little tightly. Look, the fact was that flying wasn't exactly her forte and once, a long time ago, flying had definitely not gone well for her. Still, she trusted Michael, and flying was a lot better than the ground. So they'd be there soon enough hopefully.

And gliding was a lot less hair raising than flying on a crazy harpy having fun.]

[Indeed, it doesn't take too long to get there! The Omen opts to just land on the roof, rather than hover or do circles around; despite its size, it's not really heavy enough for this to be an issue.]

Ah, here we go. What's the plan? You going in through a window?

The plan is to make sure I can stand on a roof first.

[She hopped down with her umbrella at the ready. Her toe started to sink and she grabbed hold of a lip of the roof, pulling herself quickly over and flopping onto it as nimbly as she was able, sitting at the edge, not far from the fire escape.]

Ok, so apparently it's floors and ground.
I should be able to get in through a window, but would you mind unlocking mine?
I can give you my keys.

[She held her set up and jangled them for him.]

[He holds up his hand - toss them! Once she does, the Omen will flap down to the ground. Michael's pretty durable, but there's no reason for him to go jumping off a roof if it's not necessary. He'll just...go and find her room?]

[She tossed him the keys and let him get started on that, gesturing to make sure he knew the apartment number. Nimbly, in the meantime, she made her way down using the fire escape to her window and sat on the lip of the metal grates there, waiting to see him.

[And after a couple minutes, Michael appears to open the window!]

Ah, fire escapes. Very fun aesthetic.

[Well, they were usually for getting out than getting in... but it worked! She flipped up and hopped onto the lip of the windowsill as soon as it was open, grinning over at him and giving him a thumbs up.]

Now I just have to floor is lava over to my couch.

[And she? She would sommersault mid throw and land right on the couch, causing it to collapse back as she landed on it. Her foot grazed the floor but pulled away before it could suck her in. Bringing that foot up and planting it on the font of the couch, she leveraged her weight and caused it to tip back forward, landing hard.

Bowing from where she stood precariously, she grinned and then flopped down on the poor furniture. Thankfully the springs did not break.]

Good thing I buy good furniture, isn't it?

[Michael laughs, coming over to plop down on the couch next to her.]

What's the point in furniture that can't take a few people being thrown at it?

[She gave him a thumbs up as she casually took a relaxed seat, finally feeling like herself.]

In my life, if it can't take at least the punishment of a deranged five year old?
It won't survive for very long.

[...which was weirdly accurate considering that at 5 she'd been an unholy terror to the furniture with her 'imaginary friend.']
