[The fairest of them all was certainly not looking that way today. Her left arm was in a sling and cast, there was a bandage on her left cheek and a bandaid over her left temple. There are bruises on her right arm but the major damage is very clearly on her left side. Her omen, Faramund, the giant stag was staying right by her side and all the animals that perpetually come and go and live in her home all seem a bit more uneasy, as if they're glaring at the camera, ready to fight for her sake.]

Oh my! It got so cold so quickly! We're just jumping right into fall! I hope this won't affect the harvest!

We'll just have to pickle and preserve some things a bit earlier than expected! It's such a shame, it feels like we skipped right past the last bit of summer... oh dear, I'll have to check on all the baby animals in the forest. [What if they don't have their winter coats in time? Well, they can stay with her, she can ask her cult the people who consistently linger around her house to help with getting the little ones into her home if winter proves especially harsh.]

Oh ah... which does bring me to my next thought.

While I know it's important to preserve, cure, dry, and pickle things for winter, well, we need some levity too! The boardwalk had all sorts of food and games, but perhaps we can extend that into the town! Help... ease some tension and rebuild bridges.

[She idly rubs her cast.]

If anyone has any ideas on a festival or... anything, do let me know. Perhaps a festival is asking for too much, but perhaps a giant... ah, what is it called? Potluck? It seems a shame to end summer on such a [violent] tense note!

( Peter's very slowly processing the events of July — it still feels like a nightmare, and one he's not sure he's fully woken up from. He's largely been keeping to himself, but he can't turn away from this message. Immediately, he's turning on his own feed to respond. )

( Something's happened to her, and his heart's fluttering with a sudden spike of anxiety, worry. He doesn't mean to ignore what she's clearly made this message about, but his eyes are locked on her left arm, wide. )

Oh... ah... yes... but I did go to the Blood Ministers, that's why I have a cast and the bandages. [She lifts up her arm a little in the sling.]

Oh... well... [She presses her lips as she looks at her arm.] There was a man last month... he just needed me to get out of his way quicker while on the street and I'm afraid he pushed me right off the sidewalk and uh... into a storefront window. I think perhaps he was corrupted. The owner was very upset about the broken window, I'm afraid. The bruises were from others knocking into me or shoving me last month since I am a warmblood.

But I'm glad the Blood Ministers are bound by an oath, most didn't want to treat me.

( The question is a difficult one to answer, and Peter pauses for a moment, mouth tipped open a little. He doesn't want to lie, doesn't know if he can. He knows he's not doing well. He's not sure how to deal with it, in all honesty. )

I'm.... trying. ( He finally settles on, with a faint smile. But he's quick to skirt past that discomfort and to what Snow is telling him, eyes widening again. Last month, people were certainly.... aggressive, he knows that too well, but hearing this is a fresh horror, and Peter's wearing it very plainly on his face as he tries to process the impossible mental image of people physically hurting her like this, and then not wanting to help her after... )

( Anger is not an emotion Peter commonly experiences (not Peter, who's so afraid of others' anger, who always associates that emotion with his mother). But it curls there in his gut, something unpleasant and heated. )

And I'm glad you went to the blood ministers! I see they already helped you a little! [ Positive re-enforcement. It's important. ] But still.. I just want you to know. If anything like this happens again, you can always try to reach me over these Omnis, okay..?

[ She knows the other could probably contact others too. But it's so much easier to speak for herself here then to send Snow White towards someone else who might not want to be bothered. ]

[Oh, that sure is a big cast on her friend's arm. Ochako sadly isn't surprised to see it, but she does feel a surge of indignant anger fill her chest. Even with the horrible things that happened last month, Snow White just isn't a fighter in any capacity. Whatever cruel things she could do would be strictly name-calling and insults, and...someone very obviously took advantage of someone supposedly "weaker" than them. That alone makes Ochako mad, but her concern overrides it mostly.]

Snow-chan, you--... [Ochako takes a deep breath in. A cast means she saw a healer. Means she's recovering. Calm. Breathe.] You shouldn't push yourself while you're still healing, but I think a festival is a wonderful idea. It could help boost peoples' spirits after...l-last month.

Having a cast makes some things terribly difficult, and even if I wanted to, it's much too painful sometimes to do as much as I usually do. [Sadly, no, she didn't contact anyone. Her ounce of improvement is that she sought out the Blood Ministers on her own and not much else. Snow didn't contact anyone with how high the tension was last month. She worried she'd only add to the seemingly massive problems that had occurred.]

Everything I need or want? I can't really think of anything. [Snow doesn't think of luxury for herself.] Though, I've never had a broken wrist before so I don't even know what I would need in the first place.

Oh... um.. well... no. And I'm not really sure who did this, I've not asked my animals to look. [Because she could, that's the thing, Snow's ties to all animals allow her to be able to spy on anyone, because even insects will obey her whims if she asks it of them. But she doesn't, and people are all the safer for it. But the animals who are beside her, they are more than willing to attack to defend her and just don't because she asks them not to.] Faramund didn't chase after him because he was helping me out of the window.
