It is. It's lovely, I think, but somewhat war-torn the last I saw it. Though that may change soon. I couldn't really say, now that I'm here.

Crusader armies, the local resistance, me who wanted to use the island to hide things they shouldn't have had...it's a long, bloody story. One I hope was nearly at an end.

I don't think any one person can end part of a war, even if it's just a small one. But I have faith that it won't last forever.

[This sounds more positive than she feels, because Maria is thinking that eventually, the combatants would run out of people to kill. But it probably won't go that far.]
