Uhm, so . . . I've been here for a year. Which is really long and I was just thinking that . . . it's been so nice. To be here. And to meet new people and try new things. Also make so many friends.

So, uhm, to celebrate . . . I'll give you a compliment! To celebrate everyone. And if I don't know you, uhmmm, I'll give you my best first impression!

Why would you give away compliments or impressions as celebration? Shouldn't you want people to compliment you because you've spent a year making an impression on them?

Yeah. I think seeing other people makes me happy too. And I've been very happy here, so I wanted to share the feeling.

The people are really nice and kind.

You must have met some nice people too right?

Nice enough, but all people want something in return or use niceness to hide their real intentions.

All my life. It's what I was born for.

I was told on multiple occasions. It's better when things are straight forward.

But how do you know they were telling the truth?

I mean, how does anyone know what you're born for?

Words were followed with action.

Sometimes I think our mothers are the only ones that see our potential when we are born.

Maybe? I don't remember mine. I don't have any family.

You weren't born then?

I mean, ducks hatch from eggs . . .

Oh, you hatched. Many species hatch, but they are usually tended by their parents for a time, aren't they?

Yeah, but I was really young then. So I don't remember a lot.

Perhaps your duck mother saw your potential, but you don't remember.
