[The feed opens up to an unnaturally beautiful garden. For those familiar with Ange Ushiromiyra or Beatrice's magic they'll certainly recognize the golden butterflies fluttering about the and resting upon the golden roses. While this area looks nothing like Trench, one of the carnivorous plants can be seen going to snap at one of the butterflies.

Only for Ruby Rose to pop up on the screen and slices the plant in two with a scythe made of scythe made of pure energy that she had not been seen with before. In fact she seemed incredibly energetic for someone who should be dealing with the draining effect on cold bloods this month. She's also dressed surprisingly formal for her usually very goth tendencies. She quickly dusts herself off and looks to whatever is projecting the Feed.]

Sorry about that. Just dealing with a few nasty pests that stumbled in here.

Speaking of which~!

I thought it would be fun to give everyone a little tour of The Golden Land my beautiful wife, The Golden Witch Ange Ushiromiya has created.

[The feed turns shows off the beautiful Garden, along with a gazebo with a table set for a tea party beneath it, a massive hedge maze that contains various doors that poke out from the overgrowth unnaturally. As they pass by a couple of the doors one might hear a few bangs or something that might sound like finger nails raking on the doors. Ruby seems to ignore it until she notices one slowly start to open and she'll step in to slam it shut and lock it with a key before turning back to the camera.]

Oh, just ignore that! Some people get a little rambunctious waiting for dinner, you know?

[Speaking of dinner, the next door in the hedge maze is open, and it leads to an extravagant kitchen. Inside that kitchen, one Xerxes Break is not making dinner. He is sitting cross-legged on the table, forming bits of crust into an intricate top for a terribly pretty pie. He has already made cookies and some wads of frosting shaped like roses that probably have cupcakes underneath, and is having a grand time. He glances up as Ruby steals a cookie.]

There you are. When you've finished whatever you're up to, come see me, would you? I was thinking we ought to come up with a present to make for Miss Ange. [As he speaks, he picks up a fork and casually hurls it off to the side somewhere. There's a thunk, and the angry gurgling of another carnivorous plant that tried to follow Ruby in.] Since she's made us such a lovely new home, we ought to make something really great for her too, don't you think?

[Quite frankly sitting on tables and throwing cutlery is just normal Break behavior. But those who recognize him may notice that the one red eye he keeps visible has a distinct glow about it, and his ever present omen — who is on the floor nearby, happily chewing up a pumpkin someone has conjured for him — has all of his too many teeth out in a manic doggy grin he cannot quite seem to put away.]

[Ruby bounces on the balls of her feet in excitement.]

That's a great idea! I'll wrap this up quick!

[And quickly begins to float out of the kitchen and into a grand lobby that seems to be just as over grown as everything else. There is a Portrait of her and Ange that eventually stops by and presents with open arms.]

Any who wish to visit this wonderful world created by our Golden Witch, Ange Ushiromiya are welcome to.

But please try not to cause any problems. I'll only politely ask you to leave once.

[And the feed closes with a smile that seems almost a little too sweet as she again grips that large scythe.]

[anna takes the time to watch the tour and her stomach sinks the second that ruby says "golden witch". this is exactly what the fuck she was worried about. this is everything that she had tried to tell to ange before giving up and admitting to herself that it wasn't the right time. and now ruby rose is here showing off an entire lotus eater mansion that ange made to avoid her problems.]

[she's glad she waited until she got through the emotional response before she decided to say something. because it's now her turn to be pissed off at her sister. running away like this? keeping everyone else isolated isn't any better. it's not an answer and it's not for anyone's safety.]

[she'll have to visit once she sorts through it all. but in the meantime, she might as well joke about it. everything's fine. it's normal.]

We spent all this effort building a house and she could've just done this?

Look- It's not that we didn't like the house. It was lovely house with everything we could ask for.

Unfortunately it turns out that things are just too dangerous out there. And since we can't pick our neighbors we decided to get a brand new neighborhood.

sansa knows beatrice calls herself a golden witch, but she's never heard anyone call ange that before. it's a little concerning. sansa and lady peer at the camera in matching black feathered collars with direwolf caps; sansa's also holds a steel hoop for her needle necklace that clips into her elaborate chatelaine, over a dress of grey linen.]

That's very impressive magic. It almost looks like a dreamscape. I suppose it makes sense that a Darkblood mage might be able to create something like a dreamscape in true life. I'm sure we'd all be very grateful for any help Lady Ange might be able to give us in securing the new city.

[ As his voice rises, it scrapes a discordant polyphony in the form of a low growl. Nothing to worry about. ]

Nothing to worry about. It was likely just a stiff breeze. I haven't had a chance to lock all the windows yet.

I was feeling just awful. I'm a cold blood and this month I could hardly find the strength to rise out from bed.

So Ange, the darling that she is. Decided to create this world and bestowed a fraction of her power onto me. It's put a little hop back into my step.

We've decided to stay here for the time being.

( This is definitely on the weird side, but this is Trench, and Weirdness is a vast spectrum within which they all float, constantly. Peter's not immediately horrified by anything he sees just yet, more.... confused. Things look, seem, different about Ruby — and whatever's behind one of those doors can't be good??? — but again, Weird Shit is always happening. Peter attended a birthday party last year at a man's house which involved skeletons wandering around doing tasks. There is an attic room in Peter's own house where a demon keeps dead things to make dolls out of.

Weird Fucking Houses just like, happen.

She made an entirely new realm inside of Trench. If you go to our old house in Trench you can find the entrance to this place.

[ The video feed from Penny is hazy with static, occasionally fuzzing out entirely into snow. The audio isn't much better. Still, the feed makes it clear that Penny both deeply concerned, despite that fact that she appears to be sitting in a lavishly appointed room. ]

Ruby? Ruby, are you th-- [ ... ] --been trying to find you, but-- [ ...

... ]

--so, um, please answer! I think your door is broken!

[The feeds cuts off as Ruby just pops out existence from where she had been standing. Barely an instant passes before appears in the lavish bedroom that Penny had been staying in. She doesn't use the door. Or the window. However she simply rises out of the floor.

She looks to Penny and smiles sweetly.]

Was something the matter, Penny? Are the accommodations to your liking?

[ She doesn't have Anna's ability to tiptoe around the subject, or a bond of professed sorority to tie her to Ruby and Ange, but she was at their wedding. That has to count for something. They're friends, and residents of her home and something's wrong.

Her question is terse. ]

Why. Why all this?

It might seem a little extreme, I suppose.

This isn't the only reason but I found myself drained earlier in the month. Like my soul was being pulled from my body. Ange did this to help protect me.

Now in turn I protect her.

[Well this is alarming. Lucius is only lightly acquainted with Ange, and familiar with Ruby only in passing (in spite of the fact that both lived in the same house he does for a while). But he certainly knows Break, and that glowing eye seems ominous. And one of the conversations he has had with Ange involved her speaking about her world's witches. She described them as beings who treat humans like a child treats ants under a magnifying glass. If she's calling herself a witch...well that also seems ominous.

But this is not a time to let on that you know something is off. Not with the way Ruby's acting. So he starts out with an admiring tone.]

I've never seen anywhere near that many roses. That must have taken a lot of work.

[It seemed like they were ships passing in the night for sure.

Ruby takes kindly to the compliment. It was better than everyone here trying to bring down the mood with concern or worries.]

It certainly took a toll on my lovely wife to create all of them.
It's why I protect our new home while she rests.
