001 Video: FilledwithSunshine

[At first, the image is that of just an absolutely giant stag. The stag's antlers are absolutely covered in songbirds, crows, ravens, and even a hawk, while a squirrel and chipmunk sit on his back next to a raccoon. And that's just some of the animals, there are creatures that look much meaner and nastier with infinitely harsher fangs and claws and mass. The stag huffs and shakes his head, the birds fly up for only a few seconds before going back to sitting on his antlers.]

...Now then, did I get it right this time?

[There are resounding tweets and chirps and squeaks and outright screeches from the animals.]

Oh! Wonderful!

[The picture turns around and then Snow White smiles bright and wide at the camera.]

Why hello there! It's so wonderful to meet you all! Or well, not meet you, not yet! [She giggles.] But I hope to meet you all properly soon.

My name is Snow White!

I was hoping someone here might have a very definite answer for a question I have! You see, I just arrived here not too long ago, but I'm not sure if this is the afterlife for all of us or not.

[Straight to the point this one.]

Some have said yes, others have said no! So I'm afraid I simply just don't know! I was so sure I was dead, after all, but what wonderful news it would be to know I'm not!

Would someone be so kind as to let me know? [Snow White asks all of this with a bright and cheerful smile. For a girl who thinks she's dead, she's frighteningly cheerful.

A telescope? Probably! Heck, knowing my housemate Varian he'll probably make one!

Well, I wouldn't really do anything with it, but it is here with me. I have it locked up in a chest. [Mostly because just looking at it is enough to want to take another bite even if she knows she shouldn't.]

Oh! I met Varian! We're from the same country!

Good plan. I mean, you wouldn't want anyone else eating it, right?

[She still didn't get what you'd do with it though].

You mean the city of Corona?

Oh goodness, no, dear. Germany!

[Luz wondered exactly how healthy that might be for anyone, then shrugged that off. Maybe it would be fine].

You know, I always just knew the city and not the country. Germany too? Huh. That places exists in my world too, just not as fantastical.

[Better to NOT get into German history, thanks].

It's always nice to have someone from home, even if it's not your exact home. [Then again, she wouldn't really WANT anyone else to be a citizen of her stepmother's kingdom.]

You have a point! I started out in a different town, with my maternal figure from another world! It was really comforting to have her there. When she left her staff stayed behind, so in a way its like she wanted me to succeed even while she wasn't still with me to see it!

Oh, that's lovely. I'm so glad she kept cheering you on even while she wasn't around.

Eda is the type of person who never really leaves you even when you think she does,

She's pretty amazing that way.

[Snow would never know that feeling. She's never had a loving parental figure, at least not one that has remained in her memories.]

[Do not let Luz know this, or she will...find some great parental figures somewhere. In fact, Luz should already KNOW this, but Snow has a way (like her) of making herself appear perfectly fine].

I was pretty lucky! Hey, I mean, how about you? Where are you living?

That's a very good question! Right now I'm just going from place to place, I've not properly settled down yet. Though I know I should.

After all you've been through, it's only fair you have a decent place to stay, Snow!

Really wish I knew how you apply for a place. If you wanted to stay in my room for a little while, I'd let you crash, at least until you found a place of your own!

Hmm? Oh, that's very kind of you to stay. But I couldn't take your room! A young lady needs her own place to sleep! I'll find one, don't you fret. I haven't had a problem yet.

[She hadn't meant HER room specifically, but if Snow was sure]...

You'll keep me posted about your living situation, won't you? You're about my age, I think, you shouldn't just be without a place!

Oh! Are you 14 too? I'd have never guessed!

No? Why not?

Hmm? Oh! That's easy! Because I've never met another 14-year-old! [So Snow has no idea how people their age act and she doesn't innately assume.]

R-right! Because you're royalty, of course!

[And because you have an evil stepmother that kept you in her castle, but Luz knew full well that she was not supposed to be privy to that knowledge. So it was better to just act like she was meeting Snow without any prior knowledge].

I'm a fourteen year old from the twenty first century! We tend to, well, typically not be born in castles and go to school, hopefully to learn how to socialize with our fellow peers!

Hmm? Oh! That's not why! [Snow isn't one to hide any secrets. Nope! She is BRUTUALLY, OPENLY honest, because what is keeping secrets!]

I was completely isolated growing up! No one was allowed to interact with me without severe punishment from my stepmother.

[See, Luz KNEW this, but Snow didn't KNOW that she knew that, and it would only confuse her if Luz tried telling her she was a character in a fairy tale. This way she could at least get the bonafide Snow White side of things].

How come? What did she have against you being around people?

[onebadapple]

Oh, she didn't want anyone to help me. I think she worried it might spoil me. [That is not why. But Snow legitimately doesn't know what she did to cause her stepmother to hate her.]

But that's kind of bad, isn't it? That means you don't get exposed to anything outside, so you get sheltered. Why would she want that?

[OK, Luz could guess why, but she figured it might be better for Snow to reach that conclusion herself].
