[The feed starts up, and people who have seen Dipper's ghost banishment post might recognize the backdrop of a messy bedroom and a desk full of books, notes, and dubious magic supplies.]

[It's the same serious looking 14-year-old from the last post, and it looks like he's about to address the network at large with something important-]

Okay, Trench, we need to talk.

[Only that is not the voice that usually comes from Dipper. The differences are now probably a little more apparent. Dipper's hair is up in a messy bun with several pens and pencils sticking out of it. She reaches up to grab one and it does not disturb her hair in the slightest. (How many are actually in there????). Dipper is definitely a girl suddenly, and does not seem to be bringing any attention to it.]

We've had some pretty big incidents over the past few weeks and they need to be addressed. I think it's safe to say that Corruption, with a capital "C", and Beasthood, similarly capitalized, have indisputable correlation.

[Dipper reaches up to scratch at something under her jaw and peels away ...a bit of flaking skin. She makes a face flicks it away. Bleh.]

And if we don't keep a closer eye on it, then we're not going to see an end to watching friends turn into monsters and having to put them down.

We need to brainstorm ideas for battling Corruption, and fast.

Awesome, that exactly what I'm looking for. Stuff that won't kill us.

[Dipper searches around her desk for a slip of paper and shows it to the feed. It's a modest list of mushrooms and plants and such.]

This is the list I want to start with. We can go whenever you're free!

[She peered studiously at the list, then trailed her hazel eyes over Dipper's pallid face on the feed before finally meeting that grin with one of her own. Circumstances aside... this could be a date. ]

I-I'm in!

[She stammered, then quickly added:]

There was something weird I found in my room that I wanted to talk to you about anyway. Oz is... a little busy with stuff.

[Someone was having Vampire Problems, evidently.]

But it's a mystery that I think you'd have fun with.

[It is cute, that she is getting flustered. Dipper puts away her list, nodding. She'll start making some preparations for their little expedition.]

[That next bit catches her attention, though.]

Oh? Really? What is it.

[justoscar]

Uh. Don't get weird on me when you see it, okay?

[There was some hesitation in her voice-- but then she flipped the camera feed to show what looked like the human equivalent of a shed snake skin, fully intact, lying crumpled on the floor next to her bed.]

I know we're squid now, but I didn't think squid... uh, molted.

Ossi, please. What could you possibly show me that would make me-

[Oh, hey. Its skin. Dipper's eyebrows fly up into her hair. At least that's confirmation that its happening to everyone. It's weird but nothing Dipper hasn't already dealt with.]

Oh, so your skin did the thing, too, huh? I've got one, too. Mabel's uh.

[Dipper pans the camera to where Mabel is on her side of the room. She's holding up a swath of skin and seems to be ...stuffing fistfuls of scrap fabric into it?? Dipper pans back to her own face with a vaguely weirded out look on her face.]

Mabel's doing Mabel Things with hers.

Is she making a new exhibit for the Murder Hut?

You would think, right? No, she's making a "dress form", she said. Something to model clothes she makes. I guess that makes sense? It should be the perfect size, right?

[LOUD SHRUG]

Well.... it works?

[She mirrors that shrug, hand reaching back to awkwardly scratch the back of her neck and tug at her little ponytail.]

I mean, are you completely sure she's not one of the cryptids from Gravity Falls?
