What's a Jedi, anyway? [Nice deflect]

A Jedi is a peace-keeper of the galaxy. We help mitigate conflicts and aid those who cannot defend themselves.

You do that for the whole galaxy? That's fuckin' impressive. [He knows shit about space, but he knows that the galaxy is HUGE]

[ obi-wan shrugs, affable. ]

I'm more proud of being a Jedi than a general. But I suppose it seems like a lot.

Or just the right amount. Means you're good at your job and you were recognized for it.

[ he does have a high success rate. ]

[He chuckles a little. And then remembers they've been having a conversation and he hasn't introduced himself]

I'm Jason. Jason Kolchek. First Lieutenant, United States Marine Corps.

[Since he knows this guy's rank, seems fair]

Yep. But you ain't the first I met who didn't come from Earth. I walked through a fuckin' alien ship before I even got here.

[He thinks for a moment on how best to describe it]

Awesome. Not in the "this is amazing" way, but just... huge. Overwhelming. A real jack-in-the-box.

[ a slow nod. ]

Sometimes the vastness takes you aback.

[That gets a little smile from Jason. He likes this guy]

A few. I feel to reveal the number would be rude for me to divulge, unfortunately.

I hear ya. [He fidgets with his cap] Well. Have fun, I guess.

[He's not sure that's the right thing to say, but also doesn't know what to say and be nonchalant about any possible interest he might have]
