[Ezra has a Sword of Agency laid across his lap when he flips on the camera to his Omni. The very observant might note he's in one of the safehouses Ruby clued him into. He looks thoughtful.]

I've had enough time travel and other weirdness going on in my life for the last year that I wasn't sure how far off my count of subjective days might be. But I woke up to this sword, which gives off some pretty interesting vibes. So either my Blessed Day is a really random day, or it's my birthday.

I'm going with it being my birthday. Nineteen.

I've always pretty much hated my birthday, as long as I remember. Some of it's personal, but even the personal stuff is tied to the fact that the day I was born, the galaxy where I'm from changed, and not, in my estimation - and a whole lot of other people's - for the better.

There's no, like, cosmic or destined implications to the fact I was born that day, by the way. Not as far as I know. Just cause and effect, maybe. Stress can lead to early births, right? I'm just a kid from a backwater planet in a big galaxy. My parents weren't anyone important.

But sometimes my birthday felt like a curse.

None of that baggage came from here. I'd like to try to put some of it down, you know? [He peers towards a window.]

It's looking bad out there, but if you want to brave it, I've got a big pot of mushroom stew on, and I think I'm gonna see if I can get this thing to project a movie. Not exactly a dazzling party, but it's more than I usually celebrate. Some company would be great. Or just talk to me on here.

Any suggestions for a must watch?

I don't know a lot about movies, but I know that I've enjoyed the few I've seen. I would be happy to watch one with you sometime.

Birthdays suck a lot. But the nice thing about 'em is that since you get so many you got tons of chances to make the next one a good one.

If you want a movie recommendation then Frankenstein is great. It's super sad, though.

Yup. The first one's the best one. There're a bunch of sequels too, and remakes and junk. He's really popular.

There does not have to be a prophecy to make it a special day. Nor do your parents have to be well known to be important. It is clear that they were important to you, and I believe they would have wanted to celebrate you and all of your achievements on such a day.

Whether it is a special day, a cursed one, or just another day is entirely up to you and how you view it. You'll find that you have the power to shape much about it. So perhaps for this one, if you would like think of it as a fresh start and leave those worries and baggage to live and be who you really are.

They loved me and were proud of me. And I'm proud of them. I don't think they would have wanted to me be unhappy and mourning them today, you're right. I don't think my new family would want that either.

I'm finding that letting go isn't always something you do just once and get it over with. [He sighs.] I wish it were easier.

Letting go is something that is never easy. Nor is remembering those that we have lost. There is no shame in that, even if we may wish it were easier in a way it helps us to honor them and appreciate what we have now.

You are right that they would be proud though. Offering help and good to hungry strangers with the strange things that are currently happening. It shows that you have a big heart.

If you're watching in a big fancy theater, and you really, really enjoyed the film, sometimes people applaud at the end If you're just watching at home with friends, nah.

Snacks while you're watching is a tradition both at theaters and home, though! Popcorn is a common favorite.
