Hang in there, everyone... This should just be only a couple weeks more right? The darkness at least. I've been on a planet for so long I forgot how to manage the darkness effects at first...
But take it from me and some other folks who worked or lived in space-
Try your best to keep a routine of "day" and "night" hours so your body has some sense of cadence
It should help you feel less messed up when theres no daylight to rely on
(To say nothing of the bugs which you should already know to be avoiding by now)
I'll try to think up any other good tips but the sleep cycles a big one
If you need help getting around too let me know
I don't mind lending a hand

I admit it takes a lot more discipline than i usually like but
You need to schedule those midnights and noon times until we get the sun back
Do you know how to use the timers and alarms on the omni?

I'm sure we'd be told that there's no discipline like self-discipline.
Midnight and noon. So I'm eating in the "morning," as well as the lunchtime and dinner and don't let myself fall face-first into a tremendous load of studying.

I have no idea how to use the extra features on the Omni.
I'm from 1912, I'm amazed I managed to find the caps button.

Im from around 2221 so its always a little surprising when i hear from someone with a history that far back
I guess that means you were on Earth too huh?

I never visited it myself but its definitely out there and people are still there
Mostly old people i think
It went through a lot but its resilient

I've been told horror stories about what happens to the earth into what becomes the 21st century.
To think, an entire nation confused by a liar real estate "mogul" with pretty lies and a wretched face!
To think further, that future foreign policy would be dictated by said "mogul."
JJ Astor or Benjamin Guggenheim, had they lived, would have put such a person in their place.

People are resilient, I'll give them that.

Practice does make perfect? Though, neither of those names are familiar to me. Granted, this is my third month, but I wanted to be sure that every I was dotted and every T was crossed in my search for coming fully into myself. This is unlike anything I knew in my world, but I won't let this world get the better of me. I will fight.

And I do hope so. An endless night is terribly gloomy.

It's not really something humans are used to, huh... [he looks askance for a beat before looking back with an apologetic kind of look.] If it helps thinking about it like...working in solidarity with space-workers, then think like that! That's what I do.

We're really not. [and she smiles back hesitantly] I'll try. Even though the very idea of going into space when I'm from was only a fantasy. The idea of it being a reality is reassuring.

[nodding with certainty:] More than real. I went out into the stars all the time for my job! And where I'm from, people travel planet to planet pretty regularly.

I wish I could see all of that. May I ask which year you're from? I want to know if there's even the slightest chance I can see it, even if I'm too old to go myself.

[he scratches at his cheek in something of a sheepish manner.]

Auh...Pretty sure it was 2221 or 2222. Too many two's, eheh...
