Hey! Um. I know I don't post that much, but I kind of have an announcement?

And that announcement is, I'm opening a used books and comics store called the Satellite of Love Used Books and Comics! It's in Willful Machine in the green craftsman house and that takes me to my second announcement. Or, uh, request? Maybe that's better. [pause] Yeah, that's better.

Hours will be Monday through Friday from nine am to five pm, closed from noon to one for lunch, along with Saturday and Sunday, eleven am to two pm. Obviously, I can't handle all of that by myself. Right? So I'm looking for a couple of employees.

Interviews for anyone who's interested can be done here and you can choose between store products or trade goods for pay.

So...I guess that's it? I hope to see you there? Oh, and the store mascot will be Nosferatmew. My batcat. She's very well trained to not bite unless you give her permission to.

Oh, um, it's based on a TV series on Earth I really love. We're...kind of off with other beings deciding things for us, the people in the series were kind of in the same boat. Even though I'd rather be forced to watch "Eegah" instead of summoning bugs.

[Luckily, Dito's been introduced to the modern commodity known as TV from his former acquaintance Sal, so her prattle isn't as nonsensical as it would have been without that sort of knowledge. Still kind of nonsensical, though-- what the fuck is an "Eegah"?]

Dito. Does that mean you have those movie things in your shop too? I saw a few of them recently. They were... interesting.

[By which he means he was introduced to The Thing and Annihilation and practically creamed his pants over the grisly beauty of their horror sequences. Dito's... a bit of an odd duck.]

[an "Eegah" is a terrible, terrible movie. and a hilarious one, too, given just how terrible it is]

No, but they say we have pretty much every movie and TV show ever made on our omnis? Which is good, because you have classics like "Pulp Fiction" and bad because you have reality TV. And game shows. I really can't figure out which of the latter two were the worst.

[well, if he's looking horror, she'd have some recommendations. mostly because when tiny her and tiny Rue used to have sleepovers, Rue would always pick the strangest, goriest things she could find]

[Okay so Dito understood maybe a third of that. Something about pulp? He's pretty sure he may have heard Sal talk about it while they were watching Hobo with a Shotgun, but at the time he was ruminating on whether it would be too gauche to cop a feel during the decapitation scene at the beginning.]

I'll have to give that a look, then. The movies, I mean. Not... whatever the hell else you said. Got any you'd recommend?
