That's my problem, too. I'm, like. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop and planning ahead so it won't. [a pause] I tried pot all of once and instead of relaxing me, it kind of turned off my brain's filter and all of the awful came rushing in at once. Never again.

Oh, it does the opposite for me. It makes my brain shut up for a bit. Then again, it might be because I have a goal when I smoke so I get focused on the goal instead of everything else.

Really? I hadn't thought about trying that. But it's probably a moot point since I'm pretty sure there isn't any pot here.

...I dunno. I don't want a repeat of last time but maybe it was one of those paranoia strands back home? I've heard of those.

Might've been the headspace you were in or the people you were around, too. You'd be surprised how those things will affect you.

That...I mean, it could be that? I was kind of with my best friend from home who hasn't met an illegal substance she didn't like and her dealer. Probably not the safest environment to try something new, right?

Yeah, that... definitely doesn't sound like the most conducive environment for a good high, damn.

Probably not. They were both like 'you're gonna love it, it's great,' and instead I was kinda sleepy and paranoid. Maybe in a more chill environment and no peer pressure, it would be fine?

I'd recommend giving it a try when you're in a good mood and around a friend or two who can help you out if you feel like you're having a bad time. You can't go wrong with a funny movie, dim lights, a bunch of snacks, and a big glass of water.

And that's only if you want to give it another try.

And I'm always looking for an excuse for a funny movie. Or a so bad it's funny movie. Those ones are my favorites.

I don't know too many 'so bad it's funny' movies, actually, but weed would probably enhance them if you can find it in you to pay attention.

Wait, you've never seen 'The Room?' Or 'Birdemic?' Or the entire Neal Breen catalogue? This needs to be taken care of.

Holy shit, I've been telling my girlfriend I need to set up a Trench-wide shitty movie night, now it's like. A public service thing. Everyone needs to be enthralled by the truly shittackular special effects in 'Birdemic.'

I think that's a great idea. Plus, it'll help with everyone's corruption.

It is absolutely tied into emotions but, hey, now that you know you can practice!

Sounds good! Well, not exactly good, I'm shitty when it comes to confronting my own emotions, but it's a start?

It's definitely a start. Just start practicing. When your powers go haywire, take notes about what triggered it and notes about what helped bring it all back under control. You'll be tossing people around in no time.
