A quick question.
I see we're dealing with some sort of unending night scenario. The pirates and the squid thing are easy enough, but I've got to know:
Is this a Vampire kind of darkness or a Werewolf kind of darkness? I can figure the rest out accordingly if someone has an answer.
Also the convenience stores here suck. The tea is weak, I can't find a decent sandwich, and all of the rival shops are out of a proper cleaner to get the salt stains off my glasses.
Anyone feel like sharing any tips?

For the salt stains.

Forgive me, they're new. Wouldn't vinegar ruin any treatment on the lenses?

Are you Japanese? It's been a long time since I've seen anyone mention konbinis.

Werewolves and Vampires are the kinds of dangers we face and how to prepare for them. The darkness itself is fine.

What if it's both?
Like that Thirty Days of Night graphic novel? Though, I can't think of a werewolf equivalent.
And the convenience stores do suck. You can trade goods and services for fish and cook that, but the bigger and better the fish, the easier it is to get priced out.
no subject
I know what you mean, and that's a different kind of concern.
We'll figure it out.
In the meantime, I can't cook. Guess I'll die.

Given its frequent use as one of the most easily accessible anti-corruption measures, I promise you there is proper tea about. Your problem is that you are looking in convenience stores. There is nothing convenient about Trench.
[A long pause. Then, a few minutes later:]
Well, no, that's a little unfair. Teleporting is lovely and the lamp friends are precious darlings.
no subject
Where do you like to get your tea? You seem to be a local expert, and I'm not looking for anything too fancy. Just a sturdy black tea with milk and a little sugar.

For your glasses, wash them with dish soap diluted in warm water. You can let them soak for a minute if the stains are particularly stubborn.
I know of an optometrist in town if you need them completely replaced, though her fee schedule is a bit unorthodox.
no subject
Unfortunately, these glasses can't be replaced, and I would like to keep them in as good shape as possible.
Soap will be easiest, but do they even have anything but lye soap here?

guess you'd better open your own cafe and show them how it's done.

How about the how Squidgreens, Smite-Aid, and the Harmacy are all out of appropriate eyewear cleaners-- but they all have a surplus of spicy seaweed snacks and vitamin D fortified goat milk? Or about how all of the blankets that are halfway decent are patterned with some god-awful Hello Zombie Kittie print?
No, no. I wanted to keep it simple. All I'm searching for is a decent sandwich and tea.
Not all of us are graced with talents in the kitchen, but the Mushroom Toasties at the Cephalo-Mart were uncomfortably greasy and made me feel ill. I know I'm being petty, but I'd prefer not getting myself sick again before I've gone to bed.

Quit your bitchin'
Make your own sandwich.

Sorry, the mushroom toasties at Cephalo-Mart already made me sick, and I'm not sure the ones at InkTrack are any better.
You don't want me hard boiling eggs for a sandwich. It'll be b a d.

So - different types o' darkness? New here and wonderin' if knowin' this is the difference 'tween me stayin' in one piece or endin' up like scrambled scop.

I only just landed ashore a few days ago. A kindly pirate rescued me from probably becoming someone's dinner.

I don't think we have anyone going around drinking blood right now.
Probably not until next winter, or season of bone or whatever.
You know how to cook? Probably easier to make sandwiches that way.
no subject
It's easier to buy out, but I need a better source for mushroom toasties.
Also, Werewolf kind of Darkness isn't very encouraging. I don't have a gun or the materials to source silver bullets.

I'll let you know whatever I find out. Gamers need to be prepared for anything.

The wolves here won't hurt you, in darkness or in light.

But a Werewolf isn't an ordinary wolf, but a beast that can be a fierce opponent.
A little preparedness never hurt, and that's all I'm aiming for.

Thanks. It's not the mushrooms that were the issue, but how greasy the toastie was.
I'm a little concerned for how I'll fare for the rest of the day, but I will check that out later.
