[ What kind of party decorations would Uraraka like best? The question lodges itself at the back of his mind, ever present. He ends up at a local cafe for a few hours scrolling through his device looking at party blogs. There's a notepad in front of him with different themes jotted down: wild west, pirates, tropical island, fright night, luau, masquerade, under the sea. It's quite an interesting assortment and he looks so very serious about it, staring intently at what he's written before adding another - rave. 

When social media blogs fail to help him narrow down his choices, he turns to Trench. The video turns on showing him seated outside a cafe in street clothes. Once he sees that it's recording he gets straight to the point. ]

What do you like to do in the summer?

[ Anyone who knows him is welcome to take up a seat and help him hammer down a theme. He can be found scrolling through a few party blogs online. Most of them are full of people AT parties instead of the decorations, so he ends up zooming into the background a lot of the time to catch a glimpse of the decor instead of the group cheering into the camera, beer sloshing, with ready smiles so unlike the one looking through them so intently. ]

[she makes a curious face when he mentions snow. she hadn't actually thought it would be needed at any point. it was just the only thing she could think of that summer generally precluded.]

Not everywhere in the city is safe from beasts and strange creatures. Palamedes was maintaining all the wards in his field by himself, last time.

[it had been really quite risky with all the bees. but perhaps the wards kept out the bees?? regardless she hopes he talked to wanda about a permanent barrier.]

You only truly need food, drink, and music for a party, and somewhere safe to have it. I'm sure everyone will be glad of the chance to be together.

[ Color him surprised. A legitimate excuse to find Viktor's 'friend' as he knows him. He doesn't talk to a great many people without cause, so this gives him a reason to. ]

You seem to know a lot about parties.

[ This coming from someone who knows absolutely nothing and is currently in the good company of two books on party planning. Being put in charge of decorations for a friend's birthday is one way to easily put pressure on the hero in training. It's proving to be harder than he first expected so excuse him for this small admiration. ]

[sansa smiles faintly. he seems altogether too surprised to hear that a powerful magician can make wards. perhaps he had been sleeping when palamedes wanted to talk to him, too.]

Yes, Palamedes knows a good deal of magic, and I know a good deal about parties. The ones people have here seem easy enough. In my world you had to entertain people for weeks at a time, to make it worth the trouble of however long it took them to get there.

I could help you with your party, if you like.

[ His eyes widen slightly at the claim that seems like a lie. ]

Weeks?

[ He couldn't even visit his siblings for a day. The idea of having strange people over for weeks seems almost unfathomable to him. ]

Locked to Sansa

The party is a secret from Uraraka. I think Bakugou wants to make it a surprise party for her.

[sansa's used to people who live in cities and towns more like trench in principle if not in uh blood magic being somewhat surprised by the customs of her world, so she simply nods.]

Yes, travel was very difficult outside of the cities, so people would only come visit you for–[wait. there was a word for this.] vacations...? There might be meetings in the day, to sort out disputes and trade and things like that, but you'd have to feast them in the evenings, and if there was a tourney...well, at least they'd bring their own tents and pavilions.

[she smiles and glances down.]

I thought perhaps you might be talking about the party for Ochako.

[she scoured the post looking for information that would help her design the Perfect Gift for her new friend, lady amaterasu's champion.]

I've heard she likes the night sky very much. I should be glad to make you very pretty banners of stars and constellations you could hang up wherever you like. That way, she can take them home at the end, and it will be like another gift from all of us.

And I could talk to some of the people who bring food to the sanctuary, if you like. We could even ask the ladies in the kitchen to make us cake. I have met some musicians in Cellar Door who might be available, but I think they might like more information than Bakugou has provided before they'll agree to do it.

[ Vacations? Feasts? Tourney? He's a clueless fool! And it shows with the way he simply stares at her, which isn't all that different from his normal neutral facade but there's a very slight - might miss it if you blink - puzzled look to the way he's staring. ]

That seems complicated.

[ Yup, that's all he's going to say on it. Not the best conversationalist, this one, something she might have picked up while he was helping fix up Sanctuary that first month. ]

[ His features grow slightly stunned, it's in the way he grows so very still, eyes widen just a little more. Touched and a little taken by her creativeness. ]

I think she'd like that.

I'll make sure she knows you made it.

[ He's in charge of decorations, but he could NEVER dream of coming up with something perfectly suited to her, let alone with any of the flair of the final product. ]

Bakugou is in charge of the party. I'd go to him with these suggestions.

[ He is but a lowly minion in charge of decorations. ]

Oh, I'm sure she'll know as soon as she opens my present.

[`she has been working on a starry dress for ochako, which is partially where she got the idea. the other part is obvious–hanging someone's banners is the easiest way to decorate for them, in the seven kingdoms.]

[coordinating with bakugou, who hadn't even wanted to tell them where or when the party was, sounds like a nightmare. perhaps she'll make something...]
