[ What kind of party decorations would Uraraka like best? The question lodges itself at the back of his mind, ever present. He ends up at a local cafe for a few hours scrolling through his device looking at party blogs. There's a notepad in front of him with different themes jotted down: wild west, pirates, tropical island, fright night, luau, masquerade, under the sea. It's quite an interesting assortment and he looks so very serious about it, staring intently at what he's written before adding another - rave.

When social media blogs fail to help him narrow down his choices, he turns to Trench. The video turns on showing him seated outside a cafe in street clothes. Once he sees that it's recording he gets straight to the point. ]

[ Anyone who knows him is welcome to take up a seat and help him hammer down a theme. He can be found scrolling through a few party blogs online. Most of them are full of people AT parties instead of the decorations, so he ends up zooming into the background a lot of the time to catch a glimpse of the decor instead of the group cheering into the camera, beer sloshing, with ready smiles so unlike the one looking through them so intently. ]

[ What the what??? He blinks. Once. Twice. A third time. Trying to figure out where the change in topic came from, better yet - ]

What's a S'mores?

[ Look he's completely serious about that question. He grew up isolated from everyone including his siblings. His childhood is zilch and sometimes he just hits a brick wall over the simplest of concepts. ]

We interned with him over the winter for three months. Before that, I interned with him during the fall semester, during the weekends.

[He hasn't heard of S'mores? This is a tragedy that must be remedied.]

S'mores is a delicious snack and perfect for summer nights by a fire. Are you in Crenshaw? If you haven't tried S'mores, you have to now. I'll supply the food, you supply the fire. I can teach you how to make it.

[That's a decently long time for interning. She assumes he's probably pretty good with his powers.]

Sure enough, it doesn't take her long to arrive, marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers in a bag.]

[ Shouto arrives within the allocated location ahead of time. When he spots her, he approaches her and nods at the greeting, quiet in his demeanor, though his eyes shift to the items she has with her. All familiar yet foreign in their combination. ]

Do I build a fire?

[ He asks, pointing to the bundle of sticks he collected while he was waiting. ]

[Oh, good. He came prepared. She nods at his question.]

Yes. Let's set it up over there.

[She points to a spot that's just off the nearest path, more mud and dirt than anything flammable. While she's confident that he's got good control over his powers, it's so easy for a little spark to light things ablaze. Easy, and it can happen so quickly.

[ He's always prepared.

He nods at the suggestion and gets to work setting up the campfire. He doesn't put too much effort into lining up the sticks because keeping up a campfire has never been an issue for him. When he's done, he crouches down in front of the pile of wood, pulls his left sleeve out of the way, and generates a quiet blaze at the palm of his hand. He sets the burning hand on the surrounding wood and increases the output until they have a steady burning campfire, at which point, the fire flickers out of existence and he lets his sleeve drop, stepping back to give her free reign of the space. ]

[Even as she's gotten used to the idea of people having powers and having powers of her own now, seeing it in action is still interesting. He makes it look so effortless - almost as natural as breathing.]

Is your hair fire resistant?

[It's kind of a non-sequitur, but she's genuinely curious as she opens the bag of marshmallows.]
