Turning 21 has been a completely underrated experience. I was expecting the blackout and loss of time. Even the warping to a new place isn't out of the realm of estimated probability.
But being genetically altered is a plot twist. I assume it is so we can fuck the monsters.
I call dibs on the raven dude.

I'm flattered but also concerned. Does he show his affection with phonebooks too?
[He's certain it's another blind dude but he's also in a Mood right now.]

We should really fix this at some point.
Uh- Hard to say. He might-
His last relationship ended up being with a cop so it might be his thing with his adult friends.

Though I'm a soldier, not police. Think that's a problem?

We had issues back home with a place that kind of rolled our job, the police and the military up into a ball.
As long as you aren't going mad with power or ignoring the people you're supposed to be protecting you should be good.

We also take our duties very seriously and wield our power lightly. [Though large parts of Nephele might disagree.]
There should be no issue on that front.
Now, if he snores...
no subject
Either way- It sounds like the two of you should get along on that front.
....Ough. Yeah. You might want to go somewhere else- He's old and sounds like a lawnmower getting in a fight with a tree branch when he sleeps.
Sorry for your luck.

What did they charge you with treason for? [One mislabeled traitor to another.]
Alas! How unfortunate. Then if I go deaf as well, I'll know it's meant to be.
Until then maybe I have him out for drinks and we swap war stories. He can stick with his other blind guy.
[Just as well, too, since he's not in the market for a long-term lover.
Maybe not in the market at all. (Maybe it was good not to be.)]

So he was in charge of the military, police force and huntsmen of his kingdom. And when push came to shove he decided to run away with all the protective forces and abandon an city to fend for itself without at least trying to evacuate it.
I called him out for it at first just to a few people I made sure people knew what he was doing. First just to whoever I could get a hold of but eventually to the entire world. He didn't appreciate it.
It's a shame that true love is always so fleeting!
He'd probably appreciate that. I keep telling him he has to make more friends his own age.

Huntsmen?
How did the world take it?
[...He breaks into a grin at that last line.]
Is your uncle human?
If so, I should hope he's not my age, though there's no allowing for how long they might live on other worlds.

We did have a few change their mind as things went along.
It's kind of a seperate group of defenders our world has. We have these monsters called Grimm. Huntsmen are supposed to protect people from them, without being bound to any one kingdom. Atlas is the one exception to that and tends to horde a lot of them to themselves.
I actually don't really know. Global communications have been down in my world for awhile. We managed to get them up long enough for me to send out a message, but it got cut off before it could finish. So I'm not really sure.
He is human! But he can also be a bird sometimes.
How old are you?

He reminds himself those soldiers were under pressures he knows nothing about, on a world he knows nothing about. They were doubtless lied to, propagandized; maybe they believed their families would be safe, or that their
Princeleader had planned more than a shameless self-serving retreat. It doesn't quite work. A few really seals it.]
What price did Atlas offer for that kind of loyalty if you weren't supposed to bind yourself?
If you ever do find out, I'd like to know.
Somewhere in my six-hundred-fifties before I died. Four or five years after that.

How would he do it accidentally?

Weird stuff just happens around him-- it's a thing, and we've all come to accept that as part of life with him.
no subject
[He's only half-serious.
But then, he's actually half-serious.]
no subject
He's had a rough go in recent years-- so be gentle with him if you do approach.
[Is he... advocating for this stranger to befriend his adopted uncle with depressive tendencies? Maybe!]
no subject
Joke's on them, he'd do that anyway.]
I'd never be anything but.
Unless he asks me otherwise. 😉
More seriously. Is he a man in need of more friends?
no subject
More adult friends... Who aren't cops or will make him sad!
[Oscar is totally trying to get Qrow more friends. He worries about the man, even though he knows he's not personally responsible for the reasons why Qrow is how he is. ]
no subject
How do I contact him?
no subject
Or weirdly friendly crows.
Odds are that's Uncle Qrow.
no subject
Have you done this to him before?
no subject
I'm hoping this works better. He needs someone fun who won't cause him too much drama, and you seem like someone who can do that.
no subject
I've managed it before, I can do so again.
Do I tell him who sent me or leave him believing we met entirely by chance?
[Now you're just goofing off, Illarion.]
