[ The video shakes as it comes on like it's been struck by something, and it takes a moment for the picture to orient itself in Rey's cozy bungalow. The scene before us is Rey standing in the middle of her living room with her hands on her temples as she looks helplessly around at a sea of porgs. At least 50 in her small home in a rainbow of colors, both their natural brown and black hues and absurd colors like magenta and lime.

The dismayed look on Rey's face is probably understandable in this moment. One of the porgs is her Omen, that one is a little smaller than most of the others and has wisely fled to the top of the fridge where it looks on in amusement. ]

Oh this is getting out of hand, why do I keep creating you? I'm not even trying to!

[ She looks up, dismayed, and noticed that one of the furry, feathery bodies had turned her camera on. At first the panic on her face amps up but then she presses her lips together, dropping her arms in a helpless open-palmed gesture. ]

Does anyone know how to get rid of things accidentally created with Darkblood abilities?

[ If Luke asked anyone else he probably would have gotten some kind of scandalized "but they're friends!" answer. But Rey is a scavenger. She is practical. Looking around at the rainbow of feathery creatures surrounding her she shakes her head. ]

I don't know. Chewie cooked some up once but apparently they were very upset with him and after that he wouldn't let anyone talk about eating them.

[ They certainly don't like it now, a lot of dismayed cooing and big sad eyes turn on Rey and Luke on the other side of the screen both. ]

Oh don't look at me like that, you're just more mouths to feed right now!

[ Luke let out a snort, about to make a quip about Chewie finally finding something that defeated his stomach, but he choked it back at the sound of dismayed coos and sad eyes. Okay, to be fair to the wookiee, that was a difficult weapon to fight against. ]

In all seriousness, I am worried about what they'll do to the ecosystem around here if they're left free to run amok.

At the same time... you may have accidentally created an easily renewable resource.

If we're planning on eating them I think breeding them to be eaten might be better, but then we'd have to plan on feeding them too. I don't think they'd be a good long-term option otherwise.

What do they eat? If it is something simple, perhaps that would be a good plan. And if they reproduce quickly, that would create a good source of steady food.

They're called porgs, they're a bird from the island Luke was hiding on. Though they're usually not this... colorful.

I've never had a pet either, honestly, but I've heard that the best pets are cuddly, cute, and easy to take care of. They definitely check off the first two things.

It's not usual, I don't think. But I've been having trouble controlling my abilities this month and well...

They feel permanent. I can't seem to make them go away, at least. Every time I try, ten more appear.

I'd suggest stopping trying to get rid of them for now, then. Say someone was willing to take one or two for pets though, how hard are they to take care of?

[It sounded better than 'release them into the wild and see what happens'. Not because he wasn't exactly the type of gremlin person who would do that, but because there were monsters here and these little things would probably get eaten.]

They're called porgs, they're native to a planet I once visited back home. They eat bugs and small fish, I think? They're very friendly and seem to be able to understand a few different words. They don't like that people are talking about eating them, at least.
