I lost someone very recently, someone I also loved. She knows about it, she's come closer to meeting him than anyone else here. But I've examined myself thoroughly and my feelings for each of them are strong and separate.

The last thing I'd want to be was disrespectful. I want her to know that no matter how she feels, I'd be content with friendship.

A letter. Yes, that's a very good idea. It's often easier to express how one feels in writing, rather than trying to stumble one's way around a confession.

Yes, that's another good point. All I need to do is figure out what to say and how to say it, which is harder than it sounds. I've never been the best letter-writer.
