There's nothing idiotic about love! Any kind of love, from platonic to romantic.

What I would receive would be her esteem and her care. Both are valuable beyond price.

never actually said love was idiotic, but since you brought it up...

if it's not idiotic, it's manipulative. in my experience no one ever claims to love someone else if they weren't intent on getting something from them. every act comes with a condition, every confession comes with an obligation.

I haven't seen anything yet to convince me otherwise.

Not so in mine. I was loved, truly loved once. That person is gone, though. And I truly care for her with no obligation tied in. If all she's comfortable with is being friends, that's fine. I can content myself with that.
