We certainly have plenty of time. At least we hope we do, at any moment something could change. Which likely argues for the idea of approaching her.

Thank you. Food should definitely be possible, I've gotten much better at cooking over the past few months. I can sing well enough, but I usually like to have accompaniment for greater confidence. I do know that setting low expectations are for the best, though. Just in case.

Yes, I recommend on seizing the moment. With how uncertain this place is, you will regret it later on if you don't at least try when the opportunity presents itself.

I am sure she would love to hear you sing. I've always been captivated by those who can do it well.

[Maul has a decent singing voice but he's far too self-conscious to sing in front of anyone else unless it is needed. Even Reaper, his boyfriend, has never even heard Maul sing.]

You're right. I should. The uncertainty of what may happen here should make me certain that I need to act before fate does something terrible.

Well, perhaps I'll gain the courage to not talk about doing it anonymously, but to do it in person. I'd like that.

[Rose has a fairly good soprano, but she too is rather shy about singing in public. karaoke didn't count, most of the time she was so busy keeping up with the song that she didn't care about how she sounded]

For myself, there have been many times I have regretted not acting. Most of the time if I have at least attempted something and failed, I know I tried even though it was not meant to be.

Since this is anonymous, do you mind if I ask who it is who has captivated you so?

It's still a novel experience being able to act on my own as it is. I had a rather strict upbringing and had it made very clear, very early that my duties were to be a wife and bear heirs for a powerful man.

I don't mind. It's Snow White.

I understand that. Not your exact situation but that idea that there is a certain expectation for your life to go one way even when you have your own desires and wants for it to go another.

Yes. Mother wanted me to stay a perfect porcelain doll of a Society lady when that role was stifling me almost beyond hope.

She truly is. I'm glad the two of you are friends. And I'll do my very best to make sure she's as happy as can be.

I certainly hope you didn't give into her wishes. That sounds like it would have been a horrid fate for anyone to be pushed into.
