[When the video turns on, Delilah looks like she's nearly vibrating with excitement. Which, as it happens, she actually is.]

Right! I am in need of stout-hearted companions for an actual, real-live quest. As you may be aware, this place is heavy on monsters and weirdness but light on proper adventuring - but that's about to change!

[She pulls a map out of her cleavage and flourishes it. Don't ask her where she got it - the story is long, complicated, and involves her swording several people. But this discovery will be of interest to everyone...]

So according to this map, there is a bloody massive complex of temples, ruins, and worship sites to the far northwest of the city. There's a few other complexes depicted in vague detail on the map, but the one we're looking at is a little something called the Temple of the Forgotten Mother.

Thus - I am organizing an expedition! [Since doing it herself isn't the brightest idea.] I'm looking for experienced archaeologists, linguists, some muscle, people with exploring experience and someone to write it all down prettily.

If treasure is found, each personage receives an equal share, with the standard clauses about divvying it up if you can't claim it. But nobody will get eaten, I'm sure.

Who's with me?

[OOC: This references a player plot you can ALL take part in - the expedition was for volunteers, but its effects will be general...and feel free to use the temple complex to stage your own plots! Details Here!]

Hello!

[ Enter: Sersi. Despite the whirlwind of events that she left home during, she's smiling brightly at the feed, particularly pleased with how clever she believes her user name is. She's no stranger to technology, and there's even some relief that these function much like cellphones did back home- she may or may not be a little addicted to them.

She pushes her hair from her face and waves with a waggle of her fingers. ]

Is it customary to introduce one's self here? I wasn't sure... [ She pauses and drops her hand with a shrug of her shoulder. ] I figured it couldn't hurt regardless.

I'm Sersi and I've only just recently found myself here... I've been spending most of my time over at the Archives, reading what I could.

[ And admiring the museum side while she was at it. It's mostly strange because back home, museums were more filled with memories of her life on Earth... but here, she feels as though she can enjoy it as a human would there. ]

But I think this question is best posed to the people who live here: what's your best advice for someone new?
